Does anyone happen to have these rims on a 5th gen and could you post some photos?

The early 5th gen trail editions had them. You can find tons on Google.

I venture to say that those are one of the best looking OEM toyota wheels ever made, dig them on the 4Runner in silver or black!

Nice looking truck. Do those running boards sit flush with the black plastic below the rockers?

The trail was my first 4runner crush. It has classic lines all around…no pikachu face and no gangster teardrop fake side scoop on bumper. Just an all business rectangular headlight, simple classic wheels, nice rack, and nicely set off by the black flares. Mmmmmm

The things were rarer than hen’s teeth when I finally was looking to buy a 4runner a few years ago.

I got mine 2 years ago and CarMax had it listed as an SR5. When I took a pic of the cab and sent it to my brother he told me if I didn’t buy it on the spot he’d disown me. This is so much more capable as a vehicle then I am as a driver.

It’s a shame they didn’t make more of them. But lucky you! You got a gem there. Kinda how I felt about my first gen regular cab mid-90’s Tacoma. Perfection.

From headlights to tail lights to over-fenders to luggage racks to door handles… It’s funny how there are single model year/production models that are 98% just like all the rest of them in the 5 to 10 year run…. but 2% different and just spot-on perfect. And those seem to be the ones that keep people coming back for more. Even if they can’t have it.

IMO the Trail will end up being one of the most valuable trims one day. They just didn't have all the sought-after colors back then, but it's mostly a clean no-nonsense trim w the locker and a few extras.

Are those running boards adjustable as far as how close or far away they are from the above plastic/rocker panel?
