Has anyone mounted 16" rims on 4th Gen 4Runners with out issue? I've heard 16" is too small for the front calipers with the rotor guard.

    Thx,
    Ron

I have an 09 Trail Edition, it came with OEM 16" alloy wheels, I replaced them with Pro Comp 16 x 9 rims, no problems. If you have a sport with the 338mm rotors you will need to run 17" wheels. If you have the 319mm rotors you can run 16" wheels.

Thx, mine is a SR5 but it was special ordered with leather so I probably need to measure.

The easiest way to figure out rotor size is to check the caliper casting number. It is on the lower side of the caliper on the inside, crawl under behind the wheel and you can see it. There are lots of posts that discuss this, basically the 13 WG or WL is 319mm and the 13WH is 338mm. If you have the WH version you will have to run 17" rims to get the clearance you need.
