    2000 se5 v-6 4 Runner, won't start,
New parts, fuel pump, filter, pressure regulator, injectors, throttle position sensor, plugs, coils, wires, battery, starter is good, emptied all gas and put 5 gallons of super unleaded, the relays and fuses, that can get to are good
It's getting FIRE, FUEL, AND AIR,
ALL I CAN THINK OF IS PUTTING A RAG IN THE GAS TANK AND LIGHTING IT UP

More info? How do you know you have each? Just because parts are new does not mean they work properly.

What tests have you performed to make sure that you are getting a spark? Fuel pressure?

Truck turns over no issue, I’m guessing?

My mechanic checked with a ohms meter, did the spark test, he is running out of things to think of, and doesn't have the big diagnostic computer, just a small one, I'm trying to get back to work and can't get the cash up to get it to a mechanic shop to get it hooked up to a better diagnostic tool

    What was fuel pressure at?

    does the engine turn over?

To be honest, your list looks like you are throwing parts at the car.

It turns over, no fuel pressure test, but every part of the fuel system except the fuel lines is new, would the pressure still be a issue, every thing changed was the original, and it has 247,000 miles and 22 years old, it did sit under a carport for about a year, but it was brought to me, and driven 16 miles to my house, I did add 2 things of fuel injector cleaner with 3 quarters of a tank of gas in it , then after a few hours smelled gas pulled it on a incline, 5 minutes later, I looked back and gas was pouring out of the tank, I put JB weld on the hole and did get some in the tank, I drove it a hour or so, killed it, a few hours later, tried to crank it and it turned over but wouldn't start, I changed the fuel filter the next morning, while the lines were off I turned the key over and no gas came from the tank, so I changed the fuel pump, the inside of the tank was spotless and no trash was in it, them did the fuel regulator thing, then we did the injectors, 2 were letting gas out and fouling the plugs, the other 4 were dry as a bone, I went ahead and changed the valve cover gaskets and cleaned everything like new because they were leaking, new intake gaskets and cleaned them as well,

I really appreciate the help you are giving to me , I'm really ready to put a rag in the gas tank and light it up, I painted cars for 15 years and seen a lot of wrecks, but was never around mechanic's, grease, and oil, don't mix with painting, so they were no mechanics around the places I worked, I wish I would have worked at dealerships instead of independent collision centers I could have learned something

Fuel pressure would be your next step. You have spark. Lines clogged is an option. Also, new parts do not always work (ask me how I know). Check fuel pressure next.

absolutely. I’ve been around older cars my whole life. Sometimes it’s the little things . Just have to do what you did. What makes an engine turn. You nailed it in your first post. You just need to make sure all are working now . Sounds like your mechanic covered spark. Air is pretty uncommon. It’s just a big hole. As long as the throttle body (multiple in some cases) are functioning, you are good.

I don't have to ask, how can a mechanical retard check the pressure?, and how can it be a factor with the new fuel system?, the lines are good, we checked, you are the second person to mention the pressure

It won't be much longer before it has a gas tank explosion, it's been 4 long months

Pop a fuel line close to the injectors. Get a container (soda bottle or something), and have someone turn the ignition on. Fuel pump should pressurize and pump fuel out. You don’t need to start the truck.

You are replacing the working parts. Sometimes they are bad when they are new. Other times you have have a clog.

what’s the status with the truck? Did you find the issue? Or did the rag in the gas tank work??

I'm having the same issue. Mine is a 99 Limited. It started right up, no issues. Put it on the rack in order to change oil. Now
it will turn over fine, but won't start and run.

If the ECU was not working or the timing is off then the ECU won't try to fire up. If you have spark AT THE PLUGS, then the ECU senses the timing is correct and is trying to fire up the engine. The ECU could still be bad if it's not running the injectors properly.

Do you actually have spark? Easy 5 minute test:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69Km8qAKJ18

Again, if you have spark, the ECU has validated the sensor data it needs and is trying to start the engine.

This really brings us back to fuel. DID YOU DO A FUEL PRESSURE TEST as mentioned above? You can rent a fuel pressure gauge from an auto parts store or try the "hose off" approach that was mentioned above to get an idea.

I believe you need to get 40lbs of pressure. If you get very low pressure, you have a clog or a bad fuel pump or bad fuel regulator.

If you replaced parts with cheap Chinese parts, then those are suspect. The Auto parts market is just a dumpster fire right now and everything coming out of China is trash.

The timing belt could have jumped a tooth or two. Does it seem to turn over faster now when you try to start it?

How long does it actually take to re-program an ECU taken out of a junker ?
I'm being told it takes up to 8 days, just doesn't sound right to me.
