Wound up paying 34,686 then added in tax, tag, title, with negative equity of 2500 in trade in and walked out with 38,875.95 for a 2017 SR5 premium with sunroof, cheap huskey type all weather Toyota floor mats, cable charge package(useless), paint protection on hood and door handles-can't remember if it included front bumper or not. I felt like it was a pretty good deal. Wish I hadn't of lost on my trade in but it is what it is.

It must be a west/east coast thing. I'm in Oregon and have done the Costco pricing thing for a general White 17' SR5 with no options, called all around, been in contact with multiple dealerships, and the best I can get is $34,800 not including DMV fee's. I'd love to know how people are getting such a discount off of MSRP.

We basically determined EXACTLY what options we wanted, in our case it was a white SR5 premium, tan leather, sunroof and that was it. I then found one in that configuration and emailed it to ten different dealerships within like a three hour range of where we live. Some dealerships will play ball, others won't. Get the best price offered and then send that back to the dealerships trying to play, see what happens. I basically did everything like in this post https://www.4runners.com/threads/so-you-want-to-buy-a-4runner.3318/ I suggest you try that and be willing to drive to get what you want.

OK. I Did shop around. A little. Test drove a couple of 2016s late last year at a local dealer, then told him that I would compare prices to another dealer. My Other dealer beat his price (2016 trail prem) by 1k. thus, price before TTL, was $40500. OK. Then the wait. Then the earthquake. Then the model year change. More waiting. Then a delivery date. Then ANOTHER delivery date. Then finally, delivery. THE PORT ADDED OPTIONS I DID NOT WANT!!!! I got in addition to what I wanted: remote start, door guards, and roof cross bars. (and the price miraculously jumped about $847 at the same time) (was told difference between '16 and '17. Sooooo, got out the door with TRD rims, KDSS, Michelens', premium package, crawl, cargo tray, cargo nets (2), sunroof, interior protection, exterior protection,(we will see if it is worth the $500) and 4yr/100k (everything) warr.($1200?) for $47k. Then I spent about another $1500 on the 5th wheels, (oem, and TRD) with appropriate tires. <- this is for the shrocworks bumpers that have been ordered. Note: the Shrockworks bumpers arrived EARLY and the truck arrived LATE. 2 months for the bumpers, and 4 for the truck. Also, the cargo tray is HARD to get in the South East. LOVE THE TRUCK!!

any chance you could negotiate the delivery processing and handling down a bit? Why are you trading in the Tacoma, there are a lot of us here that moved from tacomas to the 4runner.

I paid less than that for my TRD Pro Tundra. That seems high for a 4Runner.

For a 4R limited that doesn't seem like a terrible price IMO. Sounds about average, Im sure you could get it for cheaper depending on how much time and effort your willing to put into shopping around.

There are some killer deals on here. I'm in Northern California and I could've been a little more patient and shopped around more but I just ended up getting $700 off the MSRP for my 2017 SR5 Premium.

I am having too many annoying issues with my tacoma. Especially the transmission. Had the firmware upgrades twice but the issue came back after a week.

Plus, my wife hates it. She said the truck has no power compare to her 12 years old lexus ls430 :)

I've tried with 6 different dealership around the Seattle area and not one willing to discount more than $1500 under MSRP. The deal I posted is from Oregon, 3 1/2 hours drive from where I live. They also take my tacoma SR5 for 31k. I bought it for 33k 7 months ago.

Thank YOU all for your tips/inputs. I ended up put down a deposit for a white SR5 premium with 3rd row seat for $37389. We don't really need all the nice-to-have features in the limited.

Save some money for some small mod and a used boat and wife approved :)

Just got my 2017 TRD Pro in white. The dealer wouldn't negotiate, but they won't charge more than MSRP as a principle, so I got a good deal according to TrueCar in my area.

I paid $44,597 for it before taxes and fees. It has a few of the options: the all-weather floor and cargo mats, cargo cover, emergency assistance kit, exhaust tip, remote start, and the roof rack cross bars.

After about 90 days looking ... A flight to Chicago and back empty handed. I got my OR Prem w/o KDSS for almost 40k all together in Arizona.

I was looking for OR Premium moonroof w/o KDSS and wanted to be about 8%-10% below MSRP. Lost my motivation to haggle at the end and paid for AZ tinting and doc fee... Overall very happy with purchase and Wife is happy the spreadsheet and phone calls/email exchange is completed.
