Hello. New to 4Runners. Have a 2019 SR5 Premium and love it. Was going to replace the lower door lights with the ones that display the Toyota logo but/when doing so noticed that the driver's side light didn't have any wires. That's when I realized it wasn't working - wires missing. Anyone else experience this? Easy fix - something I could do?

Also, reference the logo lights, back door lights didn't seem to display the full logo. Possible?

    Thanks for any help,
    Lisa

Probably not missing, just came unplugged and is in the door panel. You'll have to use a flashlight and small mirror and see if you can fish it out to plug back in.
If not you'll have to pull off the door panel from the bottom to see what happened to it . It was there I'm sure on a Premium. That white plug plugs into the housing.courtesy_door_lights_5th_gen_4runner_02.jpg

I’ve installed LED logo projector Toyota door lights on my 4Runner from carlightslogo. They project the Toyota logo clearly and are quite bright, which is great for visibility at night. Installation was straightforward, just a plug-and-play setup. They fit perfectly and have been working flawlessly since.

Those logo ones tend to burn through the logo.

How so? I thought that LED don't get hot like the halogen does.

I’m not too sure but have seen people say the image wears away. It isn’t like an actual burn.

So I went to install the Operation Mod Out door light on the driver's side door of my son's 2015 premium edition and noticed the original light wasn't coming on when the door opened. I removed the old light housing and found there were no wires attached. I then proceeded to remove the door panel and could not find any wires.

Has anyone else beside the OP of this thread have this issue? Very weird, because I also have a 2015 premium edition and had no issues when installing these lights on my 4Runner.

Well, I figured it out. Good thing I had my 4Runner so I could take off the door panel and know exactly what I was looking for.

Shortly after my son got the 4runner he had a minor traffic accident that required a little bit of work to the driver side fender and door. I'm assuming the body shop removed the inner door panel to do some work, because I found the plug poked inside the plastic barrier on the door panel. Fished it out and plugged it in and all is good now.
