How long at the port?

I have read that a few people on this message thread were able to find out what day of the month their 4Runner was made. I can find that my ORP was made in April of 2022 but can not find the actual day of the week. Can anyone help me with this? It is not on my window sticker.
I also feel like starting a new message thread for the new owners of the 2022 4Runners. Something that would help us. I feel really close to all of you because we seem to be a little older ( 40+ ) and haven't owned a modern 4Runner and especially because all of us have had the long wait to get these great machines.

 

Hey man I’m in Draper. What dealership are you using? (I’m using Mark Miller in SLC) I was told on Thursday (6/16) that my 4runner was already at the port but he wasn’t able to track it further than that. He speculated to expect it in my possession by mid to late July. I also need to figure how to “track” lol..

 

We’re basically neighbors! I’m in Sandy. I’m going through Larry H Miller. My salesman texted me on 6/2 that it was in the port for processing. Not sure if that’s the day it hit “F” status or not, but I’m sure getting anxious. He said to expect it to arrive at the dealership mid to end of June, so we’ll see if it comes through on time! Have you downloaded the Toyota app and put your VIN in? If so, did you get any notifications yet?

 

Ah nice! I have my VIN but wasn’t told of an app. I also have only put a deposit down on the vehicle so idk if that matters.

I also looked through the thread and figured out to “track” and it looks like it’s in F status but I didn’t see anything that mentioned “ETA” let alone a date. You mind sharing what this app entails I see in the Apple app store there’s quite a few Toyota apps lol.

 

Awesome thank you! Just set it all up and no notifications thus far. Wish this app could show you where the vehicle was currently lol.

Our 4R just went from “F” to “G” this afternoon!

 

Congrats! I haven’t been able to check mine yet, but will be able to soon! I’m so excited for you!

 

Hopefully it will be close to 3 days like it was for me.

 

As of now, I’m still in F status, but I’m in Salt Lake. So hopefully it changes soon! So stoked for you!!! Only a day or so now for you

 

My Toyota app gave me status alerts again this evening. Checked again this evening and I’m still in F status. Hopefully that changes in the morning. Fingers crossed

 

Going shopping with the wife today and just so happens we will be driving right by the dealer. We will stop in this afternoon and check out if it is there.
Hopefully we get it by Friday as we are going out to dinner with some good friends and he is a big time(rich) car nut. I’m sure he will be impressed one way or another with the Army Green. A while back he went to the Ford dealer to buy his wife a new fully loaded Explorer and said what the heck, throw in a Raptor too, will look nice next to my ZO6 ……his wife had 2yr old loaded 335hp Edge ST but said it wasn’t roomy enough so they gave it to their daughter….His personality reminds me of the Pillow Guy and is quite a character, you definitely know when he is in the room.

 

Sounds like a good time! You’ll have to let us know if you see it there at the lot. My TRD Pro flipped to G status this morning as well. Once I finish with work this evening I’m going to drive by the lot to see if it’s there I can’t wait, as I’m sure you’re right there with me

 

Just came off the truck and started prep, I pick it up Friday. Pretty dirty from the trip.

 

Awesome! Looking great. I wish I would have had time to get one that has one of these modern new colors. I had a 2016 Chevy Silverado that was falling apart at 70,000 easy.. and fully maintained miles. We just couldn't handle another $2500 + bill anymore with the Chevy and once I had it running good enough to drive to the Toyota dealership I had to choose from the allocations the dealership had available for the next month. There was 2 silver, 1 Barcelona red and a dark gray color. I ended up with a silver ORP.

 

Looks so good! Just a little over a day and she’s all yours! I drove by my dealership this evening, but couldn’t see mine anywhere. I guess it could always be inside one of their many garages, but those were already all closed up for the night. I guess we’ll see what tomorrow brings

 

My status flipped to G sometime late June 22 or 1205 June 23rd lol. My Inspect/Network method still has yet to show “ETA” is this common? My Toyota app has also not had any notifications sent out either.

Curious on what everyone’s post G status timeline and actual ETA ended up being the past month or so…

 

I think it hits “G” when it leaves port on ground delivery to the dealer. Mine was basically the ~one day it took the transport truck to get from Long Beach to Carson City, NV (500 miles). Never got a ETA but didn’t use the app either.

 

That kinda reminds me when I bought my 90, there were two Golds, one Red and one Black, all stripped 22re units. The black one looked like it had a pretty rough test drive, the front valance was all bent up. During my haggling(walked out) for the AC kit and roof rack I got beat to the Red one. When they called back and said I could have the AC/rack at dealer cost, that just left the two Golds to pick from.

The Carson dealer offered $19.5K for our CRV cream puff in trade, a good friend’s daughter-in-law agreed to buy it @$25K last night. That will help reduce the $ pain.
I am going to bend the dealers ear a little tomorrow about the cost increase since I put the deposit down. The base MSRP of the ORP and the wheel package option increased a combined total of $1,350 since my deposit in January.

 

New here and was able to get the dealerCategory shown as F on 6/15. When did yours change to F? Mine said it's on a train to Colorado so I'm curious if anyone else has feedback on time from train to dealer in Colorado?

 

I never did see an ETA (Inspect/Network) once it went to "G" status. It was only 3 days in "G" status when I got the call to come pick it up.

 

Exactly the same as dustydogdan for me this week. Three days on “G” and no ETA.

I really want to start a new message thread for the 2022-23 new owners. I know I could look stuff up but when I am going from a 1987 FJ60 Land Cruiser to a 2022 ORP with all the crawl control and other things I have no clue to use + all the other little things that are so different from driving a 2013 and 2016 Chevy Silverado Z71 4X4's for the last decade it would be nice to hear from all of the new owners and what's their experience and things they have learned or bought for their new 4Runner. + I also feel close to everyone on this message thread after what we have gone through to get these great Machines!

 

Picked her up this afternoon. Had the tint done and clear bra put on the front bumper, full hood, and both front fenders. I’m ecstatic to say the least!

 

Looks great! How much was the clear bra in your area? What company or brand of bra?
