We love to make fun of each other here. It's all in good fun! It's good to know you'll have a sense of humor about it. But, don't let anyone keep you from doing the mods you want. Just be ready for the trash-talking. :D

Those tires on that old Landcruiser are tiny! Lol!

Haha! I can't wait to see it! I had my license plate zip-tied to the bumper for awhile.

What a relief guys! I am among my people, and can finally express myself. I’ve seen a bunch of jeeps with these....just have to find a set that will complement the 4 runner.

Eh screw it...I’m just gonna go whole hog with my personalization mods. Pinstriping wont be a problem anymore. Deer ticks might be an issue though. And mounting the license plate..upload_2021-3-8_10-19-22.jpg
This would work best right after a fluid film treatment for the full visuo-olifactory effect. Not only will it look like it smells like ass, it actually will!

Not sure if I can pull it off for this weekends get together though.

I kinda reckon I sure would like to. So far the calendar seems clear. Should I RSVP when I know for sure?

Don’t know that it’s necessary. There’s no catered lunch. Just show up batting your giant eyelashes.

Like @Chris In Milwaukee said.

If you're coming from the Milwaukee area, a few of us are meeting at the Watertown Plank road park and ride around 8:45 - 9am.

Chris, you're welcome to meet at the park and ride, too, but I figured it's way backwards for your to come down this way on your way up there.

Yeah, I figured. I'm hoping to get there a few minutes early. I'm looking forward to a dose of 4×4 BS and catching up on whatever other adventures everyone's been getting into this winter. Should be a good day. There's talk of beers and grub at Friess Lake pub afterward.

Well, I checked all my work, personal, and social calendars very closely and it seems there was nothing on them at all. The Mrs. produced no objections, so Im good to go.

I’ll meet up with you guys at the park and ride.

Unfortunately, I ordered the last set of 4runner eyelashes, and they were immediately and irreversibly lost in the mail (we shall never speak of this again).

I can wire up my vintage used once 1989 Uniden CB if there are comm requirements for the caravan. My handle is Big Mac Spaz Attack. I also have a couple of pieces of thick cardboard for traction boards if you think the parking lot is gonna get hairy.

Lol! Cool. We haven't really used CB for mall crawler events yet. But, we do use them on trail runs, so it's good to have even a portable type of setup. I run a Uniden CB. :)

I was really looking forward to those eyelashes. :anonymous:

Roof rack paid for itself again today. If you need an excuse, feel free to use my vehicle as justification to your significant other. :)

Truck is still a workin' dog. Did I mention how much of a great investment this rack is?

As much fun as it is watching my wife struggle to get in the 4Runner, might be time to invest in sliders with integrated step.

I acquired an extra set of Trail wheels and made a new local 4Runner friend today. Hopefully he can join us on some local rides, @Thatbassguy !

Wonder what I should do with them. Considered taking them to Hy-Tec over in Waukesha to get them powder coated to match my accessories and putting 285s on them. Either way I have an extra set to put winter tires on now. The KO2s perform admirably on snow and ice, but a nice set of Wannahakkaloogie winter tires would be the bee’s knees.

    Ni

Nice! A set of Hakkapeliittas would be sweet! Or, keep the KO2's for winter/travel duty and get a set of 285 MT's for shenanigans.

These showed up today. There are a couple places up in the forest I want to go, but didn’t really want to try without some manner of rocker protection. The wait time wasn’t too long. I ordered on April 10 and they arrived today. Happy to support the local manufacturers (Michigan). Maybe I’ll put them on this weekend. Not sure what the weekend looks like yet. Maybe I’ll call @Thatbassguy and @McSpazatron and we can wield power tools like mad men.

Aaaand that’s awesome. They sent me two left feet. Which means someone else has two right feet.

The left foot looks good though install on the correct side.

The Khumonuwannaleyme tires in load E are a close second. Totally under-rated.

Huzzah! @victoryrunner turned around a new slider in a week. Thanks for the great service! They look fantastic and installed so easily. Of course, no matter how easy it is, you’re still going to bust a knuckle or two.

Those parking blocks and curbs at the Piggly Wiggly don’t stand a chance.

Installed a hood glare minimizer this evening. It’s available from @MyWyfsRnnr on his Etsy page. If you reach out to him by DM on the forum, he may work a special deal for you.

Super easy to install and I was done in minutes. Just cleaned and soaped up the surface so the appliqué could be easily positioned on a layer of water and provides excellent working time. Once I had it where I wanted it, I used my handy dandy Kwik Trip Rewards card (Wisco people know what I’m talking about) and worked it from the inside out, gently squeezing out the water and bubbles. Using a dry towel I smoothed out the vinyl, working the edges last and slowly sucking out the rest of the water so the edges laid down flat. The front of the hump needs a bit of extra attention, making sure you work the vinyl and let the adhesive do it’s thang. We’ll see how it goes when the sun comes out tomorrow!
