This guy had two leeches on it’s tail. It’s like a little fresh water grouper.

I’ve been catfishing for 48 hours. Seems to be one cruising by at 7am but just slightly nibbles.

I just landed another big bass on my first cast. It jumped four feet!

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
Years ago, in Yuma, I went fishing for cats one night, on the Colorado. What's left of it in Yuma, anywho.

I caught a couple, a normal night. I didn't have time to clean them right when I got home, so I threw them into the freezer. The next weekend... a week later mind you, with the cats sitting in the freezer the entire time... I got them out to clean and fry them up. Tossed them into a sink of water to thaw out. Came back in a couple hours, figuring they were good and dead after a week frozen solid. I mean drive a nail into a 2X4 frozen.
THEY WERE ALIVE, and swimming around in the sink!!

I took them back to the river and threw them back in. I am NOT going to eat an undead catfish! Zombie catfish, coming back to life that way. I don't want to become a zombie by eating zombie catfish.
They are that determined to live, they can go back into the trickle that is left of the Colorado, and live out their undead lives.

I never caught, and kept, another cat in Yuma. Sure, I'd catch them, but I'd throw them right back in. I want a catfish dinner that bad, I'll go to the store and buy a nice, safe, fillet or two. No more zombie fish for me!

Be careful of the zombie fish, all!
    Pat☺

That’s my Tica with a new Johnny Morris Bass Pro Shops carbonLite 2.0 in a 6.6 foot.

I snapped a St Croix trout series rod at the base this spring.

Haha! I brought home half an ice chest full of iced down crawfish one night thinking they were croaked too. I put them in ziplocks and tossed them in the freezer. A few days later my mom took them out and put them in a big bowl to thaw. I was outside doing something and I hear a scream from the kitchen. Lmao I ran inside and they were crawling all over the kitchen.

After sitting on my top shelf in my garage for years, I finally got my tube down, filled it with air and letting it sit to make sure it will hold air. I used the hell out of this tube when I lived in Ca and made regular trips to the High Sierra’s. Caught a lot of trout in it. Haven’t used it in several years, but, gonna put it in the water soon. Lately have been going to Elephant Butte Lake here in NM with my friend on his small boat. Last time out caught crappie, white bass, small mouth bass, stripper and a big carp. Released all. The lake is about 100 miles from my house and right now, the road (Hwy 152 ) to the lake is closed due to the Black Fire. 3C11BC0D-406F-4E99-A0BE-1F0312F50FEE.jpg
