Wanting to have my Dobinson's IMS lift installed here in Tucson. Checked with a variety of places and am still waiting on a few feelers with shops. Just for the heck of it I contacted one of the two stealerships here and they gave me a quote of 7 hours of work (install and alignment) @ $155 / hr. Thinking this is a bit inflated.
They did say they would honor warranty on both the truck and their work down the line if they do the install...

    Yeow!

Some time back, I got a quote for my Eibach suspension installation from Desert Rat here in Albuquerque. They were very reasonably priced, and seemed to be familiar with a KDSS (my rig) equipped 4Runner installation. Pandemic issues made it so I went ahead and did it myself, but I would have had them do the installation otherwise. Is Desert Rat one of the places available in Tucson?

Yes, Desert Rat is. Several of the local lift shops here in Tucson didn't know what KDSS was. I too have KDSS.
Yah, I'm too old to do the install myself. I thought both the hours and the labor rate was high. Asked if they could be whittled down some on their fees. We'll see. I can go to Phoenix but that is two hours each way and with the price of gas I'm trying to avoid that.
    Thanks for the support.

Had my installation involved rear springs, I might have opted to wait also...I also had a local dealership quote the install, and they were just like you found - outrageously expensive.

Ya, hard pass on dealer installing parts you supply. And $155 is pretty average right now for a dealer hourly rate no matter where you live. 7 hours seems excessive, but since its a brand they have probably never dealt with before, they probably give themselves a cushion should it take longer than say a Mopar lift on a JK or JL.

Shop I go to used to charge $120/hr (not sure anything changed) and normally takes about 6-8 hours for a lift install. I think 7 hours if not wrong with UCA install (suspension, UCA, diff drop, alignment, etc..).
