Hello, I could use some help. I just purchased my first 4Runner. I bought what I thought was a sr5 premium. However, I think the dealer may have made a mistake. I believe I may have gotten a trd pro for the price of a sr5.

it has the exact appearance as a trd pro but no emblems. It has black leather with red stitching, it has the Manuel 4 wheel drive shifter near the other shifter. It does not say trd pro ok headrest but I read they didn’t do that in 2015. It also has the multi terrain shifters on the roof and the salesman said that was odd he had never seen those on a sr5. It has the silver with black accent rims Iv seen in trd pro before but no markings. It has a hood scoop.
Everything I can tell is it’s a pro, could someone shine some light on this for me? Thanks

Well you could put the vin number in and look it up. I checked mine on a reputable site and I got several different models. I do not believe you can get an SR5 with a manual transfer case, multi-terrain shifter, etc.. If I were to guess you may have got a TRD Off-Road.

Also the skid plate while thick doesn’t say trd. Mine is also silver which I read isn’t a standard color for a 15. Really confused now.

Or take it to a Toyota dealership and have them tell you everything they got on record for the vehicle.

Does it have a sunroof? They didn’t put sunroofs in the pro until later models.

If 2015, it is either a Trail Premium or the Pro. In addition to not having a sunroof, on the headlight stalk, should there be an “auto” option, it is a Pro.

Sounds like a Trail Edition - The TRD Off Road used to be the Trail Edition in 2015 IIRC

Red stitching, hood scoop, silver w/black rims. Sounds like a TRD Off Road Premium with the side emblems removed.

According to Toyota's parts lookup website, you have a trail premium.

Sure sounds like a Trail Premium to me. I have a 2016 and it is exactly how you state yours is.

Oh ok from what a read the trail was basically a trd just without the suspension upgrade an said it rides smoother than trd.
If anyone could shed light on that but it seems I got a really good deal as it was priced as a sr5

That's correct. Mine does NOT have KDSS either, but it's the same as a TRD mostly. I even cheated and put the "Toyota" letter grill on the front!
I really love the manual transfer case lever.

Yes I just ordered that with the raptor lights! Also ordered trd pro emblems but I guess I need to cancel that.

I too love the Manuel shifter.! Only complaint is we have the really nice silver with black accent rims and my wife wanted the black wheels other than that we love it and got a steal on it!

Yeah don't get TRD Pro emblems, that would not be correct.
I have Raptor lights also. I like that look. YMMV.

I’m not going to, some Toyota enthusiasts which I am in training haha. Love the 4Runne, huge change from a suburban but it was my wife’s dream car she just wants the black wheels but man their expensive. Anyways I was saying someone would see that and know it’s not a true trd
