Hello - expecting a 4Runner soon

Hi everybody- a guy at my work owns this 4Runner. He told me about his vehicle, and 5th Gen Off-Road 4Runners in general. I now have a deposit on something similar. It's possible I will get it in July.

I'm really excited. I told the dealer that a 4Runner is the only vehicle I want, and that there is not even a close 2nd.

 

would you like to trade wheels?! I have the same in black, but I wanted the bronze!

 

I think those wheels belong to his buddy.

Hi muddyix- I wish that Army Green vehicle was mine...I like everything about it. But it belongs to a coworker. I showed these pics to my dealership, and told them that this is Exactly what I'd like, right down to the Army Green and wheels. I plunked down a deposit, in late Feb, to get in line for a TRD Off Road. He told me there were 4 people in front of me, and he wouldn't/ couldn't promise any color/ config. I said OK...I'm flexible.

My guy at New Holland took this pic, and sent it to me, the day it arrived at his dealership (Friday morning, June 10th).

I had committed to buying it, almost two months prior (April 22nd). He told me, in a phone call, that Toyota had it allocated for them, and right then, we agreed on the price.

I did the final paperwork on Monday, June 13th, before work (I work 2nd Shift).

I bought my 4Runner at New Holland Auto (Pennsy) on Monday. For me, owning & driving the vehicle is a dream come true. My sales guy, Dan, helped me, from my $500 deposit, thru the present. He's a big fan of the 4Runner (he owns one), and he showed me, over two days, how to use the shifter and gearbox.

 

If it was on the lot, what did you pay for it?

Hi TRDLE- I re-read my June 11th post, and I edited it for clarity. I did in fact have to put a deposit on a 4Runner, on Feb 28th, just to have a chance of getting one. New Holland hasn't had an unsold 4Runner arrive on their lot all year. I say that because I work near there, and I have been regularly checking since before the New Year. Honestly, I would have been happy with any of the TRD Off Roads, but it wasn't happening, so I decided to go for this one. By the way, yours looks great with the mud!
