I had the ToyTec Ultimate 3" lift, new Camburg UCA's, new TRD wheels, and new tires installed on my '16 SR5. The lift shop recommended an immediate alignment so I it took to a dealer I have been dealing with for 20 years (but its a Ford dealership). I was thinking an alignment is an alignment....so I wanted to go with someone I have dealing with for a long time.

Just picked up the 4Runner and some of the actual (final) numbers are in red. Should I insist that they tweak this alignment until all numbers are green or is it nearly impossible to get a perfect alignment after a lift? I really don't understand the significance of these variances that are outside of the expected range. My natural instinct is to insist on all green, within tolerances, spec since I paid them to do an alignment, but if it sometimes hard to achieve after a lift and the variances are minor, should I even worry about it? See specs below.

    Need advice. Thanks.

Hmmm...you should be able to achieve at least 3* caster with the Camburg UCA's, I was able to with mine but I do have a different lift. I'm no expert though, I'm sure others will chime in.

Don't get too hung up on "green" and "red" numbers. Those values are what the angles are supposed to be based on an alignment for a stock 2016 4Runner. They pull those numbers from a database, every car is different. With your lift and UCA's getting stock numbers isn't going to happen. I agree with @brochacho that your Caster should be higher, and that with your low caster value you're constantly going to be making minor adjustments on the highway, and bump steer is going to be worse.

    How's it drive?

I have only driven it a few miles and it seemed fine since it was aligned. Actually, it seemed fine when I drove it the 25 or so miles from the shop where the lift was installed to where the alignment was done. I will take it on the highway tomorrow and see how she tracks. I will update this thread tomorrow. Thanks.

What are the alignment specs suppose to be after a lift with UCA?

I can only go by the paperwork I received after yesterday's alignment. With stock or upgraded UCAs, my guess is you would want your alignment be within the tolerances. This is information form the vendor from which I purchased the UCA's I had installed: "By building an upper arm that re-angles the ball-joint, you’re able to gain more wheel travel and keep the joint in its normal operating range. These arms also correct the suspension geometry on lifted vehicles by increasing much needed caster which improves handling and allows for a wider range of alignment adjustment. The tubular construction also gives you more tire & shock clearance compared to the stock stamped arm."

Alignment is supposed to be as close to 0* Toe (barely inward helps tracking in a straight line), 0* Camber, 3* Caster with a 3" lift.

Thanks PVT Pablo. Hopefully they'll be able to get it tighter when I drop it off with them again tomorrow.
