How long at the port?

Mine Arrived in Portland on 4/18 at 10pm. I got mileage on my app 4/19 so it was unloaded from RORO Ship. Now its in Processing....

Local WA guys. How long did it take for yours to get on the Truck and to Dealer? Portland to Olympia is 2 Hour Drive at most. I would think it would be quick.

I wish I could just drive up to port and pick mine up myself LOL.

My vehicle arrived in port (can't recall whether NY or NJ) on 3/30 and was at the NH dealer on 4/6. The unexpected best part of the delivery process was taking ownership of the vehicle with a grand total of 1mi on the odometer. Never happened before.

But now I believe that the low milage means the dealership did not do all the things the should before selling the vehicle.

Hello I am a new member and just ordered one that was already coming to dealership. Was told ship is docking today 5-14-22 in Portland Oregon and I was wondering how long it will take to get to Boise, Idaho or how many people are currently waiting for their 4Runner to make it through the Portland processing dock.

 

Thats correct. The detail team just removes the wrappings and puts dressings on the tires. End of PID.

 

That was on my 2017 Tacoma. But my 2022 ORP 4Runner does have something like it, just need to scroll through the display.

 

Hey DUSTYDOGDAN My 4Runner got to Portland April 19 and on May 8 I finally got word that it was in route to Memphis, Tn by rail and should arrive there in 4 days. I was just told that it is still not in Memphis but once it arrives there it’s transferred to a truck and should be in Cleveland, Tn in about 2 days after that. So, I’m hoping by the first of next week at the latest. It looks like it takes about 5-6 weeks from port to dealer to new owner.

 

Thanks for response . I think being in Boise I should be a little more lucky on getting it faster after it leaves the Toyota building that puts on the extras at the dock in Portland Oregon I was very surprised to find out that everything wasn't put on the 4Runner in Japan. I've got a 1985 Toyota FJ55 Four door Land Cruiser and it's going to be crazy to drive something 40 years newer.

 

Jealous of your FJ55. I always thought it would be a fun project to fit an FJ55 body onto a 4Runner chassis but I haven't checked any dimensions to even know if that's a possibility. I also don't have the time or the shop/tools I once did so I'd have to wait until I eventually retire (or win the lottery, and pay someone else to do it).

I can confirm that at least one ship made it to Portland somewhere between 5/12 and 5/14 as mine was due to hit port yesterday and although it hasn't changed to F status it has started showing updates in the Toyota app. Good luck on a speedy delivery for yours!

 

The local dealership had this outfitted with several things I really didn't want but I need something for a family vacation out of state in Late July and couldn't be picky. It will have the TRD Black wheels and Yakama roof rack along with the floor mats. I would think once it makes it into the ad on shop it wont take to long unless the truck will be filled with all of the other Toyotas from this ship that are coming to my local dealership in Boise. I've bought at least 7 other new car/truck in my lifetime and it's very strange not driving away from the dealer after making the deal.

 

Put a deposit down on an allocation coming into my local dealer(near Seattle) and was told it should have been at the Portland port around 5/8. Patiently waiting now

 

I’m still waiting on my 4Runner. I finally got the VIN number from the dealer but they have no idea where it is right now. It was supposed to arrive by rail in Memphis on the 13th and then travel to the dealer by truck but supposedly no one knows if that actually happened. I’m very disappointed in the lack of information being provided and find it hard to believe no one can locate this vehicle.

I'm just north of Memphis by a couple hours and my runner was stuck in the port in Alabama for a week. Just got a call it was delivered today and the dealership had no idea it was arriving today. Now I'm just waiting on them to finish prep, ceramic coating, and they will deliver the truck to my house on Monday!

 

I tried the link and got as far as search in network and nothing would show up when I did that. I’m so bummed with this process.

I was told by the dealer that my 4Runner was already on the ship and was to be in Portland Oregon on 5-14-22 and should be here by June 15th.
When I followed the directions in this thread it shows it under "A" Status .
I just found this in another thread.
A - allocated, F - freight (is built and currently on boat/in port), G - ground delivery or delivered .
Could my 4RUNNER still be waiting to be shipped? or is the "F" the shipping status of being put on a truck or railroad?
I also found that my Vin number shows order date April of 2022 and to be built in Aichi Japan.

 

My 4Runner was in A status until late this afternoon. It was built on 4/22, shipped on 4/30, and scheduled to arrive in Portland on 5/14. Now in F status, waiting to be put onto a truck at which point it will be GT status according to my dealer.

I'm not challenging the guidance in prior posts, I think that Toyota may have changed how the status codes map to the process based on my experience and the recent reports by others. Sounds like your 4Runner may have been on the same boat as mine; I'd keep checking over Mon/Tues and you may see the status change as it completes PIO and gets ready to be loaded onto a truck for transport.

Thanks for responding. I think you are correct about the "A" Status . How many accessories does the Toyota port workers have to install on your 4Runner? The one that I put a deposit on has the Venture package that has a Yakima Megawarrior rack, Black Pro Wheel, Center Cap, Roof Rack Cross Bars, TRD Front Skid Plate, Black Chrome Lug Nuts, Black PVD Wheel Locks. I would think once it makes it into that shop at the dock it should be out in less than 2 hours. Please update me when you get yours and congratulations on the purchase!

 

My Toyota app shows 3 miles on the odometer this morning! Does that mean good news?

I downloaded the Toyota app and entered my VIN number. It shows everything about your 4Runner including the odometer. Mine was on 0 for 2 days and this morning when I checked it had 3 miles on it. Somebody, somewhere drove that baby..lol

I’m in Tennessee so I’m guessing that since it left Portland on May 9th by rail perhaps the mileage is from being loaded onto a truck? It was supposed to be in Memphis on the 13th but evidently that didn’t happen. I’m in east TN so it now has to travel from Memphis.

 

How did you find out that yours was built on 4-22 and shipped on 4-30? I see mine was ordered in April of 22 and I assume because I have a real vin number that it is already built. Sorry to keep asking questions and thanks for responding.
