Has anyone had success mixing skid plates from different brands. I’d like to have a full set of aluminum skids. LFD is local to me and offers an aluminum front available quick. They don’t offer aluminum for the trans and transfer. I wonder if I could make someone else’s aluminum back skids bolt up at a later time.

I would rather not deal with fitment issues between the different ones either.

I looked at RCI. It was my second choice. I just was trying to support the local company.

but they don’t offer what you want. I wouldn’t feel bad about not supporting local when they don’t have it.

You don’t want to mix skid plates. All the ones I’ve seen rely on interconnecting with each other, only utilizing a few factory/frame holes here and there (no consistent mounting points).

So while I’m sure there are some that might work together… you’d run a big risk of mounting points not lining up, and potential for big gaps or height difference's between the panels.

Get the RCI. They have the cat guards available too.

Doesn’t RCI normally do 15-20% off a few times a year? Shipping for a full set is $150. I was really wanting to stay under a $1000 but I guess that’s not going to happen.
