Wheels + tires, best combo?

Big tires, everyone loves em!
Because of lots of rubbing issues, i read on multiple forums that certain rims are much better than others (offset)

Is it possible to run 35s or maybe 37s if spacers (with proper offset rims) and a lift were installed?

If so, what lift kits actually work. I've heard lots of mantnience issues with long travel (read the forum), i kind of liked rough country as they're one of the few that offers more than a 3 inch lift.

 

For a 5th gen or a '99?

 

No, for the 5th gen. I've stopped working on the 99'. I just put my name on the lift for a 17' pro 4runner. I just want to stick as big tires as possible without changing axles or anything. I was happy with the 32s on my 99, until i tried a 99' with 37s. It made a huge difference

 

Stealth Custom Series wheels are gonna be your best bet for putting larger tires in the wheel wells. I have a 2" lift front and rear and my 285's rub ever so slightly in reverse. If you're wanting to run 35's on a 5th gen you're going to need at least a 3" lift, UCA's, and a sawsall.

 

And most likely a regear to 4.56's.

 

So basically it isn't really worth it? A regear would be an absolute pain, and i'd probably have a heart attack taking a sawsall even close to my car
