Mainly I'm talking about higher lift bigger tires lower range 4lo ratios and selectable lockers all the way around

    And TSS delete....

If Toyota wanted to get 50 Grand from me this would be a quick way to do it

And I don't care for the OR or Pro fluff. Maybe use some more capable trail version or something

The 5th generation is sitting on a 20 year old frame that you have to CUT to fit proper sized tires on.

Clearly they have been half assing it for years now. They don’t care and don’t feel like spending the cash on proper 4WD development like Jeep and Ford because the corporate culture in the US has always been about focus groups.

The RAV4 is what is getting attention these days.

Well Toyota is getting $50K for an SR5P so I would guess it would have to be closer to $70K.

50k for an SR5 is crazy. I'm clearly out of the loop. With the inflation we're seeing on these new Toyota 4x4s it'll probably be used ones for me from here on out... Unfortunately

Used ones are sometimes selling for more than new. It’s crazy out there.

Your don't need to cut anything with the right offset and 285 70 17s, 0- +5 offset seems to work out well, they just have to adjust the alignment a little.

But why would you want to BUY a rubicon/bronco killer? I think I'd rather build one that way it doesn't have any added fluff like all manufacturers do now.

Sr5 with 4.56 gears, front and rear lockers along with some aggressive a/t tires, would be a good start

I would be over the moon if Toyota came back with a smaller body version of the FJ, WITH a removable top. The last FJ was close, but oversized (IMHO) and hard roof. Use the same wheelbase and frame, just reduce the cab width so it doesn't look like a hermit crab with a big shell. :crapstorm:

They should do some sort of capstone 4Runner aimed at the rubi and bronco. Then maybe we'd end up with a cheap trail version with it's two lockers and crawl gearing and not doofy crawl control:D
