Curious of peoples opinions on these setups? I currently have the Icon Stage 2 on my 5th Gen and a friend is considering it for his. He’s also looking at the Ironman. Let the debate begin…. :)

My Icon is fine. Not sure what stage it is. It has the external reservoirs but they’re not adjustable. The on road ride is plush.

The Ironman just names their stuff in stages with the number of components you get. Stage 1 is shock/ springs, 2 includes UCA's and 3 comes with even more goodies. In all reality, the difference between them all is subjective to what you really want/need. If you are just doing something like a 2/2 lift, then all the extras that come with "Stage 3" are not needed by any means, so why drop another grand on it? I have been talking with those guys and what my plans are for my build are, and they agree that if you are not planning on doing a full blown crawler type rig, the stage 3 is a bit of an overkill. Good company from everything I have herd and great customer service. A guy I work with has a full Foam Cell Pro kit on his Taco. Truck rides softer than stock but still feels truckish as it should. As far as Icon stuff, very popular. But like any company, has its good and bad reviews. No personal experience with them, but not a big fan since it seems every other hillbilly with a lifted Ford/ Chevy/ Dodge has em. That and the old owner's legal issues leaves a bit desired for me. Cant fault the new ower for that, just a personal opinion. Plus, I like the road less traveled;)
Dont think you either would be a bad choice. But its your/ your buddys choice.... There are also tons of other options out there in the same price range like OME, Dobinsons, Radflo to name a couple...

I’m happy with my Icon. We live in Portland and they just opened there retail/install shop here and that’s why he’s looking at them. I will say the service from Icon was horrendous when I needed help. Wont use them on my next build.

I have the FCP stage 3 from Ironman. I like that you can service your suspension yourself without bringing it to a shop. No nitrogen to deal with. It is a good technology. I haven’t had any cons yet with the suspension and it has been 1 year and a few off-road trips. You can see more on the link in my profile if you want. :)
