Any way to suppress SRS Airbag Malfunction?

I removed the front passenger seat from my 5th gen. The car dash now displays the "SRS Airbag Malfunction - see dealer".

Is there a way to clear this and operate the car without the passenger seat? I tried wiring in a 2.2 ohm resistor to the yellow seat airbag connector but didn't seem to have any effect.

 

Jeez, I’d be worried about triggering all the airbags messing around with trying to put resistors on. Maybe somebody will chime in with a solution, but running without a passenger seat shouldn’t stand out any more than extra light on the instrument panel lol

Also, I wonder if the whole airbag system shuts off when a code is tripped, of do they all have their own individual triggers?
