Skid with oil drain door

Do any of the aftermarket skids have an access door for the oil drain plug? Looks like the both the RCI and LFD I was looking at have just a hole.

 

Just looked at RCI’s site. Also LFD.

 

They all have the door for the filter. I want a door for the filter and the oil drain plug. Not a 2” hole.

I like RCI. This is my TRD ORP video. Very easy to install even for an amateur like my self. Later I got all the smaller skids from RCI as well.

My TRD Pro also got all RCI skids except for front. So need to remove it for oil change.

 

RCI is a good plate but does it have a door for drain plug? OP is looking for door plate instead of open circle hole.

 

Yep, its a hole.

 

I own the RCI's and literally will be changing the oil in an hour. It makes life SO much easier having these plates.

 

I have the rci skid. i can change the oil and filter with the access they provide no problem. I also have the motiv (i think) oil change tool kit so maybe that makes a difference though

 

that’s what I was looking for. I don’t know why they don’t all come that way. I guess I need to check their lead times.

The 4XI look promising too but it looks like they may not work with bolt on sliders.

 

I have the RCI skid and installed a fumoto valve when I put it on. Now I just reach in, hook up the hose, flip the valve and the oil goes right into the container. Absolutely no mess whatsoever.

 

C4 has what you're looking for.

 

On the subject of skid plates. C4 makes a mid plate that's compatible with the TRD Pro plate. Are there any other manufactures that also do that? Google wasn't much help.

Some of the companies don’t show them online. I called half a dozen places today about the oil drain door, that’s how I found that those three had the trd mid plate.

 

I just put a full set of CBI's on the wife's 2020 4R. The full set was about $1600 shipped. For lead times, they said 8 to 10 weeks when I ordered them. I received a shipping notice about 35 days later. We bought the powder coated steel. They were also the best steel option that I have found for cat converter protection from theft.
