My 2022 army green offload premium is finally being delivered and I'm as excited as you can imagine. I'd like to swap out the wheels that come on it for some of the all black trd wheels. Are these easy to sell? Is there a good process to trying to sell these? How does this work, I've never done this before. Thanks.

There not that easy to sell. There usually a ton available on offer up and forums like this one.

If you price them low then you should be able to sell them .

Average price i see them in my area is 600 for the set with tires. I’m in So Cal.

I would see if your tire shop would give you some kind of trade credit for them.

    Where do you live?

Also, don’t expect a lot of money for them.

Limited owners like my self could be looking for almost new TRD Offroad wheels to upgrade 20in wheels to 17in. I didn't want to buy TRD Pro wheels as they are not recommend for bigger tires 285/70R17. TRD Offroad wheels were perfect for me to run 285s on my Limited.

Post them on both Craigslist and Facebook market place.

    20210118_125631.jpg

    Edit -

Just to be clear I already purchased TRD Offroad wheels, not looking for another set as shown on the pic. I meant to say Limited owners might be looking for 17in wheels.

I have my off road wheels for sale on here for about 3 weeks now. Priced at $600 including shipping. I also posted them on Tacoma world which I would suggest to do as well. Hopefully I will get them sold in the next couple of weeks. But using PayPal is usually the best transaction process I have used. Good luck selling.

if you sell them with tires, they're a bit easier to sell. I picked up a set of ORP wheels locally from a guy so I could swap the stock duellers on for highway road trips since I tossed on some GG ATX tires on the stock trd wheels. I paid 400 for the wheels, probably could have found some for less, but its a local guy who's helped out a bunch of people in the local 4 runner group and I had no problem paying a bit extra for what I was looking for.

OP another option is you could look to get your ORP wheels powder coated for that unique look :)

I bought a pair of Offroad wheels because I liked them way better than the SR5's.

Paid $300 for the wheels. They will probably sell pretty quickly at that price.

I think offering to ship would help. When I was trying to find wheels, almost all of the ads said pickup only. I didn't want any badly enough to drive across country for them!

Shipping costs are killer these days. Probably more than the actual selling price.

I’d like a set for dedicated winter tires. But I’d need to paint/coat them bronze. Which would make the purchase rather prohibitive price wise for now.

Saw a set of these wheels on a dark colored 4th Gen the other day - and they looked killer. If I hadn't given my 4th Gen to my youngest daughter I would be rockin a set.

Anyone want in on a group buy that wants just one wheel for a spare that matches?

I looked into this. Shipping was out of the question. I want to say is was close to $100/wheel......if I'm remembering correctly.

I just sold my trd orp wheels this afternoon for 200. Only the wheels. No tires or sensors included.
I priced that way on offer up for a quick sell. I needed out of the garage and before the wife got home. Lol. They sold an hour after I posted them.

I recently sold a set for $450 and they were on Craigslist fur a month. Too many sets available and not enough people seem to want them.

All of the people who contacted me weren’t interested in the tires.

Guys, I’m new to the forum with a 2008 4R. I see some terrific take-off bargains for wheels but don’t know which wheels fit my 4th Gen. I’m not necessarily looking for an “off-road” just a replacement for my original old not-so-pretty anymore wheels. Is there a “standard” set up from say, a 5th Gen that bolts straight up to my vehicle? I don’t want to do any suspension changes or body mods at this point to get things to fit. My current tire size is 265/60-18. I think the wheels are 7.5” wide with a offset of 25.(??) The rolling diameter is 30.5” if that helps at all.

I just figured a lot of people here have already done swaps and I’m hoping you can at least point me on the right direction. And yes, I’ve been searching the forums but much of the terminology is new to me and things like “ORP” are a mystery.

    Thanks!

Tacoma guys seem to love them. Honestly think they are the best looking wheel from Toyota anyway.

Why would 285s not work on TRD pro wheels? Aren't they the same size as the ORP wheels you are currently running with 285s?

Pro wheels are half an inch narrower (7”) than ORP (7.5”). 285s aren’t recommended for a 7” wheel, but I don’t think that stops a ton of folks, lol.

I see that you have a Limited, someone can correct me but I believe those have a bigger brake than the other trims, which is why they have the 18" wheel. So I don't think you can swap over 5th gen wheels as those are all 17". It's too bad because the 4th gens look great with the 5th gen SR5 wheels or the Off-Road (ORP) wheels. As far as the lug pattern, they are a direct fit.

Yes we do. I took my wheels and tires off of my ORP and put them on my 2nd Gen Tacoma. I like the way they look on that truck, plus I had so few miles on my 4Runner when I did the wheel and tire upgrade that I couldn't see wasting them.

So what is the consensus then, sell my ORP rims with the Dunlop tires (5,000 miles) and tpms, or sell the rims and tires separately?

replacing with fn fx pro wheels and BFG trail terrain tires.

That's a sharp looking Limited! My classic silver OR is about 5 weeks out. A set of those Falkins (275/70) are going on mine the day after it arrives. How much lift is on the limited?
