Hello, I'm John. My user name is Digologist from my metal detecting youtube channel.
I recently purchased a 2001 4Runner Limited. I had to put much of the front of the engine back together after buying it from a neighbor. He replaced the water pump and timing belt. I discovered the coolant leak that he was attempting to fix with a new water pump was still a problem. It seems it may be leaking from the oil cooler hose or somewhere else. before I fix that problem. I would like to ask where to post on here for help with getting it to start. I had to buy a new battery. when I turn the key, nothing happens, starter does not engage. accessories do work and the security light flashes. fuses are good, starter relay seems to be working. Any help would be appreciated. I really want to get her running and home from my work. Thanks, John

Welcome and greetings from Minnesota. You can either look for or start a thread “ask a Toyota Mechanic” like they have over on the Tundra forum. There are plenty of highly trained folks here that will be happy to help you out.

Thanks. Can't wait to get her on the road. she set for about 6 months and I have to fix a coolant leak( probably the oil cooler hoses) and I am also have a problem getting the starter to even turn over.
