Yes..looking for a bull bar..

How do you access your front recovery points (if needed)? Seems like the tow strap or winch cable would get taut and push up on the bull bars, breaking them or pushing them into your grill.

 

I was sitting outside just yesterday, enjoying the early spring sun and saw that they were accessible under there.

 

Accessible as in, you could reach under there and touch them?
Or functional, as in you could hook up a tow strap and the bull bar wouldn't interfere?
I ask because I haven't looked at your specific brand but others like it all seem to have that lower bar that's parallel to the ground and the tow strap looks like it would make contact with that lower bar.
Especially if your front end were lower than the rear (nose-down in the mud), and especially if the recovery vehicle was on higher ground (and/or itself was lifted).

 

Always "what if's"...... I could hook a 'biner. Yes, it might contact the bottom of the bar. I use carry a heavier-rated strap. A winch cable would have no problem.

 

There is not a chance that I would be happy with that at the cost of a 4Runner plus what mods cost. Guess I am too OCD to ever attempt this kind of thing if these are the results.

 

Yeah I can understand where you are coming from. While I would like it to be perfect I would have to cut it off and re-weld it. But with everything going on today I feel blessed to have the protection. If I bump something I don’t really care. I have destroyed my stock lower bumper off-roading because of higher objects. Now I don’t have time worry about that as much.

 

Just picked up the body armor bumper on Amazon for 350 and free shipping. Also only took 3 days to get it.

 

If you opt for Lo pro C4 is by far the best as noted by others. They sell a Lo pro with a full steel bull bar.

 

Nah c4 is to expensive. Also you can weld your own bars if you want.
