I'm having issues installing my SS3 fogs. I opted for the amber backlights. instructions were to tap to DRL power wire. I got the passenger side working but the driver side backlight is not lighting up. When I took my DRL bulb it lights up. What seems to be the issue here? Thanks

Here is a video of the fog backlight not lighting up when DRL bulb is plugged in.

That's bizarre. I just installed some SS3's last week and I'm super impressed with the output but I did not get the backlight version, I got full amber. If it's only the drivers side cutting out, maybe try flipping the connector around to the fog. I don't think that will fix it since you are getting power to the fog light but might be worth trying. Otherwise, check all the connections again and especially the ground.

Did you ever figure this out? I’m gonna be doing this tomorrow and am still confused if using the included t-tap on the green wire running to the drl is correct.

Yes... just tap it both to the fuse box. I tap it where they tap the raptor lights

Your DRL lights are wired in series for the newer trucks and therefore are at 6 volts. The SS3 (and backlight) only work on 12V. You either need to tap into a 12V source (like parking lights) or into a fuse tap that comes on with the truck or another light signal.
