Thanks! I like them a lot. I had some Amazon nfab ones on my 19’. They were ok but seemed pretty cheaply made. These are very heavy duty. Kinda wanted rock sliders, but the nice ones are outrageous. I’m 6’2” and still drag my butt on the seat edge getting in… trying to train myself to step and sit back in but i still look a fool trying!

Agreed. Have it ready to go and tell them they absolutely have to. Not sure what the Toyota dealership interest rates are, but my guess is it's quite a bit higher than most credit unions.

My cu gave me 1.99 for 60…. Toyota didn’t even try to counter. 2 months prior Toyota gave us 2.24 for 63 on my wife’s rav4… not sure why they wouldn’t offer as it’s not that much different.

USAA was 2.24 when we locked in, now 2.74. Toyota was 4.99 at the same time.

Dealer gets a kickback from Toyota financing, so bringing your own does hurt your ability to negotiate. You're already putting them on the back foot.

I still don't think it's right that you can only get the Military/Veteran $500 offer within two years of separation and only if you finance through Toyota.

I did a refi thru my bank for 3%. Made the first payment with Toyota, did the refi last week.

I have pissed of some sales folks in the past. When they ask how are you paying/financing, I always say, not sure yet. Then once we have agreed and its time to sign, Ill inform them what I have. Best was when we got the 4runner in 2020. After we agreed over the phone on the price, I showed up with a check. The first thing the sales guy said, "I see you switched the financing on me, we never talked about you paying cash." I responded, "yep, you are right we never talked about me paying cash or financing."

A lot of credit unions will let you refinance the loan with them. I have a TRD PRO on order and I'm getting it at MSRP as long as I finance with Toyota. I'll play along and then either refinance at my local credit union for a better rate or just pay off the loan. I won't be borrowing much.

Even if I want to pay cash, I always use the ole financing leverage to get my best deal. I'll let them finance it for me and then just make one payment and then pay off the loan.

Put a $500 deposit down on 12/5, and just picked it up yesterday 3/29. So almost a 4 month wait.
2022 Army Green Offroad premium with KDSS, premium plus package, moon roof. I was really set on Army green so that made the wait a bit longer, and didn’t want the moon roof, but no big deal, just glad to finally get truck.

My deposit was on 1/22 on a ORP and I don’t want the moon roof either. Salesman said that could cause a delay. I prefer not to have a OEM hole in my roof nor the loss of headroom.
Seems like Toyota almost automatically put the moon roof on nearly all their premium models.

Ya the moon roof is disappointing, I gave up on getting one with out the extra hole.

I expect to get my LR ORP with Moonroof next week.

The wife wanted factory heated seats, and I didn’t want the moonroof. I was trying for ORP, with just KDSS, nothing else.

Sorry you totaled your other 4R. It sure is amazing how much prices went up in less than a year.

That predator package you can get down south is pretty cool though. Enjoy your new ride.

For the very first time in our frugal lives(I’m 67), my wife and I want to treat ourselves and get exactly what we like and not hindered by $. If I could get a Pro without a moon roof(can’t) we would. We want a loaded ORP but sans the moon roof and without the sliding cargo tray. We didn’t like the noisy Pro’s TRD exhaust and big roof rack either, they can be changed out but not the moon roof. I have already told the dealer if we have to, we will wait for a 2023 to get exactly what we want, so be it, they cringed.
Our 1990 4Runner is a cherished family legend and will be a very tough act to follow, it has LOTS of family memories. We don’t need the new 4R, we just want it. Right now our main ride to get things done is my wife’s CRV, while super dependable and great gas mileage(+30mpg) it is still a compact economy car and we want something special. The new 4R will be a mall crawler, Goldie will continue to handle the rough stuff without fear.
BTW, once the new 4R shows up we will be selling the 16’ CRV. Anyone looking for a little old lady cream puff with just 36K easy miles? Weather Guard seat covers, dash mat, sun shade and always garaged since new and never beaten, the salesman was drooling pushing me to trade it in. We would keep it for economic reasons but we don’t drive very many miles (6K/yr) anymore and now when we do we want comfort and style, screw the mpg. It would make a perfect commute car for someone being nearly new. It will need tires….that’s it. Look at Goldie’s 32yr old engine bay to get an idea on how I take care of vehicles. The driver’s side has a bit of trail rash but that is to be accepted given its current role in our lives.
My pristine 04.5 loaded Cummins Laramie is just as nice and no evil DEF….62552959-EF49-4BCF-9E19-4718DAD375AA.jpg

Jennifer if you have time post some pics of your new ride for us to admire. It sounds pretty sweet.

CR I am sure will not have an issue selling a low mileage CRV in this market. Congratulations to you and your wife getting what you want. It’s nice when you have the ability to wait it out for sure.

The dealer offered us $19.5K for the CRV and I didn’t say yes or no. I know I can get $24K all day long, but I left them hanging for more incentive to get us the 4R. The manager said they require a $1K deposit, I told him I’ll give you a $3K deposit to get the ball rolling and prove I’m dead serious, the manager almost choked on his coffee.
At this stage in our lives we’ve decided “You can’t take it with you”. My two sons will inherit everything else we own anyway(new 4R included). The wife and I did without and counted pennies our whole lives and always put family first, we never splurged on ourselves so it’s time we did.

all TRD Offroads in Canada are "premium" ORPs. No options, they all get sunroofs and KDSS, which is honestly nice for the price.

My Silver 22 ORP is in and I pickup Tuesday!

Yeah you are lucky to have the XP package available down south. I debated buying one down there and shipping it north. I figured with my luck something would get messed up with the pro grill install or something and then no dealer up here would want to help out.

So you can't buy any of the predator upgrades where you live?

You could road trip and let a deer here do it
