I am with others on this one. I have cooler like this for my beverages it paid $150 and I have a 12v fridge/freezer that keeps my food soggy free and runs off the car or my Jackery 1000 (lasts 3-4 days without solar panels). So I don’t see the hype for a well built cooler that can’t even keep ice from melting that is the same price (actually a little more) as my electric fridge. To each his own I guess. Yeah it would be a nice collectors item. No doubt.

May I ask what 12v fridge you're running? Do you recommend it? Just want something to keep my cold.. cold.

I would be happy to pay for the shipping. Please PM me if you find it. Thanks.

I can't locate a separate part number for the strap.

I could have sworn I paid $379 but it appears that either the price has gone up or I am remembering wrong (more than likely I forgot).

Anyways here is what I got:
ICECO GO20 Dual Zone Portable Refrigerator with Danfoss Compressor, 20 Liter/21 Quart, DC 12/24V, AC 100-240V, 0℉ to 50℉, Mini Fridge Cooler Refrigerator for Outdoor, Home Use, Driving, Gray https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07THMM1CK?_encoding=UTF8

I highly recommend it. No more wasted space with ice. Keep the beverages in the icebox as that does a good job and keep the food in the fridge like I was at home. I can put enough food in this fridge to last a good amount of time (obviously depending on meal choice).

Oh forgot to mention…. I can store ice cream as well. Can’t do that easily in an ice box (unless using dry ice).

Any chance those straps are still available. Also do you have the mounting plate that connects to the sliding rear cargo tray. Mine didn't come with one and I would like to purchase one if anyone has one available

I was never able to locate a part number for those straps :( Maybe these straps came with the cooler - only with the Trail Package (?) Let me know if anyone locates them. Thanks.

I didn't find the straps yet didn't put tons of effort into finding it.

But I do know I have it somewhere. For sure no mounting plate I didn't have the sliding tray.

By any chance does anyone have the installation instructions? I got all the cooler stuff late due to back order after I bought the trail edition. Can with straps, brackets, and straps but no instructions.

The straps come with the cooler in a box, I can check when home if those boxes had barcodes.

This is the box that the straps and plates come in.

You can see there's part number for straps, but no numbers for plates and bolts, the cooler is secure in the car via straps for now.

Thanks Downeytide for your efforts. Much appreciated. I tried googling the two part numbers. But nothing related to tie-down straps. So it appears those two part numbers are from whoever the manufacturer of the straps/brackets kit.
But I just read a short article about the cooler that mentions the straps and special brackets were made for use with the sliding cargo tray. Both cooler/straps/brackets and sliding cargo tray being standard in the Trail Edition - only.
So, it seems those of us who were able to get one of the coolers would be from extra inventory at Toyota. The lack of straps/brackets were not included sine they were designed for use with the sliding cargo tray.

I'm thinking since the Trail Edition trim is no longer offered, once the left over supply of coolers are depleted, Toyota will no longer offer these coolers.
That will make these coolers some what rare.

Anyone would know that it doesn't cost $150.00 to ship the cooler. To me, that's another sign of gouging the customer as the inventory starts to run out.

If you order the cooler box separately the shipping package will include those parts, I know for trail editions they ship the cooler in those boxes as well and then the dealer install the brackets/straps when doing PDI.

As for costs, it's not that bad when you factor in it's a pretty cool piece of accessory, I paid a silly amount for one of last army green cooler.

Woops. My error. I thought I heard it would be discontinued for 2022. I should have checked.
So one could assume the coolers should continue to be available within the 22" Model year (?)

At least I was able to find out that the straps and special brackets were designed for the sliding cargo tray. So I won't have to keep looking for them. LOL

if its size exceeds traditional dims, then it most certainly will have a much higher shipping cost. bulky items often cost quite a bit to ship. however, some companies will absorb some of the shipping cost and charge a minimal upcharge to their customers for what is commonly called freight or oversized packages.

Yes, apparently, the straps and plates are for use with the sliding cargo tray only. At least that's the way I read it.

Sorry if it sounded confusing, if you order the cooler, it comes with the straps and plates, the straps and plates are meant for the sliding tray, but you can still secure the cooler down in cars without the stray by the straps, you simply use them on the d-rings, my wife's 4runner didn't come with the tray, and I strapped the cooler down like this.

Not sure how it would mount to the cargo tray as there aren't any obvious mount points on the top of it. Interested to see what the instructions say, if there are any instructions that is.

It doesn't have instruction with the box, I think it's available in techstream, when I opened the box I had found these 2 videos best explain what goes where, so for the front of the tray (towards the rear of the car) it's just strap mount onto the handle, the plates are to mount behind the rear seats.

    Front strap:

    Rear strap:

First minor test for the cooler this past weekend. With a couple 7oz. 8-packs of soda and bottled water inside, topped it off with a 22-lb. bag of ice.
Sitting outdoors in 80F weather, and being opened and closed numerous times, it still had about 2/3rds. of the ice left 24 hours later. So it performed well.
