Quick question for you guys since I'm clueless when it comes to alignment specs. This weekend I'm installing my lift(2"/1") lift installed, I will also be installing jba uca. I'm running a 285 70 17 tire and 17x8.5 -12 wheels(slightly rubs body mount at full lock with stock suspension) I'm taking it to firestone to have it aligned..What specs should I ask for? Caster, camber, toe?

    Thank you

Did you get the high caster UCA's or the regular ones?

Have you done the fender liner mod?

Jba std high caster, and yes fender line mod is done

My lift is eibach struts/shocks, dobinson 1.8" front coils, 4th gen eibach rear coils, and .25" and .5" leveling spacers

    Nice!

I'd ask for 4.5 degrees of caster or as close as they can get to that. I'd be happy if it was at 4 degrees or above.

Camber to be close to 0.0

    Toe somewhere around 0 - 0.04 degrees.

With that much caster, you might be able to get rid of the rub on your body mount, but no guarantees. Definitely worth a try though. If you rub up front again, you may have to go slightly more aggressive with your fender liner mod.

Funny, I just made my ninth appointment to have my 4R aligned at Firestone this weekend. I have JBA high caster UCA's, 1.6" front coils and 1" rear coils. It's really only been aligned 4 times, but they have mistakenly done 4 degrees camber (not caster) once and had the steering wheel crooked the other 3 times, so each time it has had to go back for a second try. They have some awesome techs apparently. My goal is to eventually get them to refund me the lifetime alignment cost so I can take it to a real shop.

I wish I had a "real" shop near me, the dealer can only set it to oem specs, i have or an getting the lifetime alignment deal. Good thing its right down the street from my shop.

    That sucks.

I think Firestone is a franchise so each one is independently owned.......which can give you drastically different experiences from store to store.

I have a good one next to me where the techs take the specs I give them and get as close as they can. I have the lifetime alignment and it's already paid for itself.

Most importantly, find a reputable shop (whether it be firestone or not). Ask them some questions.......like if they any problem getting the specs you request, and go from there.

There are two different Firestone shops equidistant from me, and I have been alternating between them. Hopefully the third time (times three) is a charm.

If you really want to dial in a proper road force balance, ask your Toyota dealer if they have a hunter machine. If they don't, find a tire shop that does.

Well, the ninth time was not a charm. Steering wheel is not straight, but better than it was, but the caster is only 3.9 and 4.5 and the "tech" said the adjusters are maxed out. Both front cams are pointed at 10 o'clock. I suspect they aren't bothering with the rear cams at all.
