I recently put a 3 " toytec lift on my 2015 4Runner 4x4 assuming I could get 285/70/17 under it. I was mistaken because they rubbed when making hard turns. I would sacrifice tall tires for wide tires. does anyone have suggestions on what size tire to try from experience?

Where exactly is it rubbing? Did you buy after market rims as well? Which 285 tires did you put on?

285/70/17 terra grappler. I was using an after market rim with 0 offset which is the same as OEM. It's rubbing in the front on the front inner fender

Rubbing when turning or all the time? On both sides or just one? There is a mod where you can easily push forward the front inner fender for more clearance (link below). Have you got an alignment done yet?

Basically toytec ultimate, tint, lower front valance, rock lights, 20" light bar, 285/70/17 Dueler AT, All Pro UCA's
I think there is an offset on the stock rims.

If you are running spacers you could take them out. You can also remove the front mud flaps if it's rubbing on the back of the front well. I doubt it's on the body mount but you can always search this site or like previously mentioned on how and where to bend/trim. Or you can take it to your local offroad shop and pay them an hour of labor to set you up
