What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Washes well after 4 days in the desert.

 

I've done worse.

 

It was crazy windy in Dallas. I can only imagine the wind out west.

 

Washed the salt off of it and put a ceramic wax coat on after. I think the snow is finally gone.

Says that and here come probably 4 inches tomorrow.......

Well friends it’s been a great ride but I decided to take advantage of my trade in value and pulled the trigger on a Raptor. I will miss my little runner but I must admit the Raptor is a step above.

 

Turbo but still V-6, it looks bad ass, though. Congrats

Added the suparee black smoke sequential signals. 55$ on Amazon. Nice thick signal pattern

 

Ellis precision shift knob, meso start button,ajt start button ring and climate/radio knobs. About 15 minutes give or take. Just ordered kmc 723 bronze wheels and general grabber atx tires. I'll share some pics when they come in

Today i did couple of new thing to my 4runner. First off I cut the rear mud flaps(hate mud flaps) also I install h9 phillips bulbs(waiting on my yellow hi beams to show up). But I installed my dd pro fog lights(had them on my tacoma and removed them when I traded it in). This time I aimed the fog lights as far down as possible, so I don't blind oncoming traffic. But with the h9 and dd fogs, I can see fucking everything. If your not happy with your light output I sugguest looking into these fuckers. Oh yeah also installed the "pro" grill

 

I rubbed the scratches off mine and rubbed on a bottle of Meguiar’s hybrid ceramic wax back in November. It has been dirty most of the time since, washed about 5 or 6 times. It still shines pretty nice with nothing but washing for 4+ months. It seems to resist significant scratches better than it did with regular wax too. It should work awesome on fresh clear coat.

 

Thought about changing the gear oil. Ended up sitting in this one spot most of the day

 

Put AVS ventshades on today. Piece of cake.

Those are the way to go. I got the other ones (in channel) and they suck. Took a couple days to get the driver side rear window to shut right via removing/sanding/reinstall/fail again/repeat, still messing with the passenger side front one. Won’t be too much longer before I order the AVS ones and use these for target practice.

 

Two other guys from work may be down, gonna try to hit up burning rock off-road park this weekend. Anyone in the area?

 

I held off longer than I expected but finally upgraded to new shoes.

What was the price difference between the raptor and the runner, if you don't mind answering.

 

Yes they are. Install was easy despite what some said in the reviews on Amazon.

 

Stick on. They blend right in IMO.
