My 2022 has made a strange noise since it had about 1500 miles on it. When braking and coming to a complete stop there is a single, relatively loud metallic “click” sound coming from the rear. Dealer says it’s normal but I can 100% guarantee it is not as my coworkers 4Runner nor any of my other vehicles have ever done this. Seems like the caliper pins or brake pads are shifting causing a noise. Anyone else have this issue? I cannot bring myself to wrench on a brand new vehicle with less than 5,000 miles.
I have already had an issue at about 1,000 miles with the exhaust rattling because it was not aligned properly. Maybe I got one built on a Monday morning? It’s to the point to where I’m about to get rid of it if I’m already have bizarre issues with less than 5,000 miles….

Is it a 2 to 1 gear shift? Just curious.

No, I can even put it in neutral and come to a stop and it will click.

Another idea, if you have a grease gun. Go down and grease the rear driveshaft ujoints, and slip yoke. I do 5k oil changes myself and I grease every oil change.
