Couldn't think of a better first thread in this section. Post up any meets, events, wheeling runs, ect.

Last minute post but going on Pilot Rock Truck Trial in the morning.

I was gonna create a thread for socal but then I was all conflicted about whether it should just be a general socal thread or if I should create one just for my local area since socal's pretty big...then I never was able to come to a decision and didn't do anything cause I was :goingcrazy:

Anyone else have any runs or meets planned?

Good to see a regular meet coming together. COB spending a whole day was admirable. Then some clown starts bitching about location. SoCal is too frkn huge. It's a dilemma, one centrally located meet or many local meets..? Never gonna be able to please everyone. Too far south, no one from LA shows up. Too far north, no one from SD shows up. U can't win. COB did the right thing IMO.

I hope to make some of these but Fridays are hard
Also there is an event coming up April 25-27. It's called calico days. Anyone who might be interested can check the sons of thunder 4x4 web site and they will be posting more details. This is our monthly meet for April but it is a bigger event than that. With other 4x4 clubs also.

A few things here and there. Still dreaming up stuff
I was always down to drive. In most cases it was no more than an hour to a meet. Really if So-Cal is going to be broke down it should be by county. That keeps all the locals, local to the area they live for fast meets etc etc. I know I tried to get a few runs together at Deer Springs but it was always hard for the LA guys to make it because of the location and same with the OC guys coming over the 74.

In the end just shut up and wheel already

They are doing the same thing as we are I believe. The weather report has gotten much better. Down to like 15% chance rain.

thats great! though i dont own scout i've been invited by them..., but not too sure on this one. i may still need a couple items for safety inspection and not sure if i can do all in one day. thinkin i may go hang out just for fun.
of course $$$ & time this weekend may change (especially if im not able to run trails) or i would've prolly gone for all three days... have been very busy last couple month's and need catching up at home.
i am lookin forward to any stuff local thats not too extreme. so KEEP ME POSTED gentlemen.
    cheers!

I will be heading up to the GreenValleyLake/BigBear area this Saturday May 3rd with my buddy to run either the White Mtn. Trail or Lower Larga Flats. Maybe both time permitting. We will meet up at the Valero Station, 32755 Hwy. 18 Running Springs CA @ 8am. If u can make it, great! Sorry for the late notice...

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg It's your typical rocky trail. Pretty easy except for a few boulder fields. Unfortunately I don't have too many good pics of it, just vids and they won't load.

As the organizer of the event, it would be an honor to have the 4Runners.com/TacomaWorld.com crew come out and visit!

I think it's a great idea. Should I post another thread or you think this one will do?
