so my rear kdss sway bar bushings are shot (keep having to soak them with silicone lubricant to stop the squeaking) and I was wondering what/which grease I should use on the inside of the replacement bushings when installing.

Tried searching on this forum and others but I only get results for UCA grease and sway bar link replacement upgrades, lol.

I've personally never greased or heard of greasing sway bar bushings.

With rubber bushings its unnecessary, but with poly urethane bushings you have to because they squeak. All the poly urethane bushing kits I've used came with grease, so I never had to worry

+1, if the sway bar bushing are squeaking then something else must be going on. Squeaking bushings seem to be more common with aftermarket suspensions as reported on this forum.

ok cool thanks. Never replaced bushings before and I'm confident I can do these, but honestly didn't know about the grease. I won't use grease then. Thanks again =)

Perfect, exactly what I wanted to know, thanks.

Interesting. I do have aftermarket suspension on both the front and rear, but just shocks and springs on the rear, everything else on the rear is stock.

I do off-road quite a bit, medium to hard technical trails on the west coast, some rock crawling thrown in, lots of mud and dirt. the sway bar bushings have 140,000km (86,000miles) on them. I should mention it's a 2015 trail with kdss. They only started making noise last year. When I spray them with silicone lubricant, the squeak goes away. So I don't think there's anything going on other than just worn out or collapsed bushings. All of the aftermarket suspension parts throughout only has about 20,000km (12,400miles) on them and they all seem perfectly fine. No squeaks or noises from anywhere else.

What else do you think it could be?

With the use you put on it, it may very well need new bushings. Years ago the leaf springs on my Tacoma would squeak sometimes. I had better luck using WD40 than silicon spray. I realize that WD40 isn’t intended as a lubricant, but it worked for me.

I kept telling myself the bushings were fine, it's just a bit of debris, a lil silicone should do the trick... I could've bought 4 new sets of bushings by now, haha, damnit.
