You will notice that the husband died over 65 years ago (And 6 years before the mine fire started), but the wife doesn't have a birthdate or a date of death; There were several headstones where one spouse was likely not buried due to the town being vacated...

The three pictures of the Lamborghini were the last I took with my circa 2019 Nikon D5600; I brought the Nikon to Cardinal Camera where I bought it, with the intention of getting the problems with it fixed under the "Shit Happens" accidental damage warranty. These problems included a busted SD card door and intermittently functioning movie mode, plus the camera was just beat to shit because let's face it, I use my cameras! Imagine my pleasant surprise when the camera decided that it wasn't economically feasible to fix the D5600 and opted to give me an almost new D5500 off the shelf! It is a slightly less expensive model than the D5600, but I couldn't find the differences and neither could the lady at the camera shop; I honestly don't care, because I've got a new camera body for free and only had to pay $160 for a new 3-year "shit happens" warranty!

February 5th, 2022: I visited Centralia for the first time a little over a month ago; Here's my truck in front of the Municipal Building!

NOTE: I did my research and realize that the "Graffiti Highway" has been covered with dirt to dissuade people from adding anything new to it...

I asked this question in the "Pennsylvania" thread, but I am worried that it might get passed over and buried; Has anybody been to the abandoned mining town of Centralia, Pennsylvania recently? It is definitely seems to still be open for exploration by the public, but what I would like to know is if it's passable for anything that isn't a 4x4...? If the road is impassable after a certain point, I would not mind parking the truck and walking. If this is the case, I would prefer to do it in the spring sometime so I don't have to worry about extreme cold or extreme heat.

Based on my research, it would definitely appear that it is still open for exploration by the public as long as the property lines of the few people who still live there are respected. Years ago, I read about explorers being confronted by a woman in a pickup claiming to be some kind of cop, but unlike Frick's Lock which can result in arrest for trespassing, Centralia still seems to be more or less open to the public as long as you don't do anything malicious. Anybody on here been to Centralia recently?

March 5th, 2022:

I went to a car show in Hamburg that ended up being a mere swap meet, and while I got some great pictures, I wanted to make a legit road trip out of it; I checked the GPS and found out I was less than an hour from Centralia! As I said earlier, I am likely not going to be able to afford spontaneous road trips anymore due to the rising price of a gallon of gas; It was a perfect day today, so I decided to get my "spring" trip done a little early. I have every intention of going back with my two best friends sometime before this summer!

As with the trip a month ago, iPhone photos posted first, and SLR photos later (With the D5500 this time!)...
