Does anyone know where I could find some aftermarket upgrade lights for my 1994 4Runner? I swear it feels like i've been scouring the internet and ive had no luck. are there compatible parts with the toyota pickups of that year that i could target to upgrade my lighting? is there anything i should know before i attempt to upgrade my lighting?

Are you talking bolt-on light setups or do you mean upgrading the headlights? Cuz I know there's tons of aftermarket products for bolt-on lighting. For headlight upgrades, Overland Nomad did a video on that and he's got a bunch of stuff for this era of yotas.

I’m talking about headlight upgrades specifically ideally I’d like something that’s just plug and play. I know off-road lights and light bars can all be made to fit with a little bit off effort and wiring

Get some H4 housings. HELLA makes some nice ones I have them in my 92 pickup. There are quite a few housing options to convert from a sealed beam headlight.

I was wrong, it looks like the late 2nd gen 4runners are not a sealed beam headlight. The pickups of that Era are. I would just get new housings and either some HID or LED bulbs. From what I can find 90-91 4runners do use sealed beams. You could find a 90-91 grill and then use H4 housings.
