I hit 1k miles on my 22’ TRD Sport. Black on black, just added my first mod, black chrome exhaust tip,not much yet haha. I really like the TRD Sport trim, great for taking the kid to daycare in in the morning. If I ever need to go on a trail in the mountains somewhere I could if I wanted to with the 4WD model with ACS. Not to the capability of a TRD OR of course, XREAS suspension etc. Drives pretty smooth for a boat which I like. I had 2 Chevy Caprices back in the day :D Next thing I’m going to do is black out the emblems and the front “chrome”strips on the grill. Some N-Fab NERF steps. Would like to eventually get some black wheels of some sort. If anyone has some nightshade rims they want to trade for my limited style wheels let me know!

Congrats! My first thought on the stock ride was comparing it to a crown vic or lincoln towncar lol. It sounds like it’s berating it, but I actually liked it! It just wasnt what I expected.

I need to be honest with you though, my eye is twitching seeing that dried corsage resting against the factory fresh plexiglass of the instrument cluster lol

How long did you wait to finally floor it, I am at 500 miles almost and Highest I went so far was almost 4,000 rpms on a highway merge. Mix reviews on ‘break in methods’

I drive like a grandpa in general. I got on it a little bit the morning it hit 1k miles. Barely touched 4K RPM. The higher RPMs on these things the less thrilling I will say, so I don’t see the point in flooring it haha! I like driving nice and easy. Hell I’m averaging 18.1 mpgs non-Highway driving :D To directly answer your question though, I had the 1k mile mark in my mind for break in.

I have been babying mine as well, I just feel like once in a while during or near break in mileage giving it the beans is good for seating the rings and what not maybe. Who knows. Toyota states like 3 different mileage intervals for break in times. Like first 200 go easy on brakes, avoid towing and yadda yadda until 1000 miles due to higher rpms
