    Check your brake fluid level.

    None yet.
Mine also would stay on. The brake fluid was right at the minimum level. Topping it off solved it.

    Lockouts on front
Mine was just barely light,, enough to disable the cruise control.I finally unplugged the sensor in the brand new cap.
The next time,,, It came on bright, it was the switch on the hand brake inside.
    My solution,,
when releasing the hand brake, at the end of the stroke in,,, I pull it out enough to shut the light off,, twist it counter clockwise,, push in.
That lets the brake light in the dash go out.
    Cruise control works again.

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
Try lubing the cable. Mine stuck completely and lubing it fixed it.

Cable is stretched and you need to take out the slack at the arm under the passenger side of the frame where the cable has some double nuts that pull on the cables that go to the drums. Then the pull lever that is under the dash will stay against the switch and stop the light from illuminating. Or if the float in the master cylinder is low in fluid the float will trigger the light as well so be sure it isn't that first. Usually, as the front disk brake pads wear down the volume of fluid in the master cylinder will head into the calipers and when the pads are about finished the light will come on to let you know they are ready for replacement.20201108_152637.jpg
This cable that is shown is attached to an arm that has the double nutted bushing with cables to the drums on it. So that arm pivots back on the frame cross member which is removed in this picture of my disk brake conversion. That is were you make the adjustment if the brake fluid is OK. This cable that is shown needs to be slack free so that the brake handle will stay seated in the rod guide and keep the switch plunger depressed when the hand brake is released and is not engaged. When I was experimenting you can see the bungee cord I was using to get this figured out for my conversion. Hope this helps with your problem solving?

On my truck I thought of that but mine had plenty of tension. It was the cable itself binding, it wouldn’t retract and was hanging up essentially locking the rear brake. Stopped at our community mailbox, got back in and the truck wouldn’t budge and the light remained on. I ended up going to low range and broke it loose. Happened in my driveway again right after that. Was able to use a motorcycle cable lube adapter and force silicone spray down it, retracts all the way now.
