Alas, I set the 4-digit combination of the port added console safe and closed it. Then tried to open it and the combination doesn’t work.

Anyone know how to free the trapped air that is currently safely locked away? There’s nothing else in it

I would recommend trying again and rotating each number +1 or -1 with each try.

So if your code is 1234 try...

    1234
    2234
    0234
    1334
    1134

Etc... bet ya its one off. Unless you spun it and closed it. Good luck!

Is it the OEM model? I have one. it has combo and a key. I had my firearm in the safe while at a restricted area and found that neither combo or key was working when I was ready to leave and this after a year of owning/using. Ended up breaking into it. Fairly easy. Eventually I'll chunk it.

Wanted to add that it was a mechanical issue not a matter of combo not working. Entire mechanism was frozen more or less.

    I once accidentally set a combo lock with one wheel halfway between two numbers… like 0 - 0 - 0 - 0.5

I got real lucky figuring out what happened.

    Did you try 0000?

I bought a console vault that looks just like that. IIRC to set the new combo, you put a paperclip through the hole on the side of the wheel, set the new combo, then remove the paperclip.
