Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
Wow that stock skid plate took a beating! I like those camo Crocks LOL!

They are super easy to put on dry. They won’t cover the entire light, but you don’t notice with them installed. I had them on my Tacoma a loved them. I have avoided them on the 4 runner because of the greenish tint that people have mentioned.

ah dang, the green tint wasn't just my eyes then. I might order the ambers if I can find them, really curious now to see how they work with led.

I put these on my 22 Pro LED foglight just yesterday, but haven't yet had a chance to use them in at night. Will report back when I do. As for ease of install, absolutely. I installed mine without removing anything. Tip, though: use a plastic interior clip tool to press the film up under the edge of the surround. He shows that in action here... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OgLMiiZKo4

I got my drivers side rock slider from RCI today... passenger side should be here tomorrow. Isn't there a post about FedEx being terrible somewhere around here?? ;)

Yeah, I have plenty of plastic trim removal tools. I might even wrap it in a thin microfiber cloth if it’ll fit between the gaps.

Is it possible to “tuck/hide” the side tabs under the black shroud or would they still be visible?

Added a few minor "bling" items this week:

Tufsinz Red "TOYOTA" overlays on top of my blacked out letters. Installed the LaminX amber foglight film too.

Also added the WeatherTech Bug/Stone guard and Window deflectors as well as the Matte Sticker on the Hood Scoop from earlier this week (see earlier post above for pics and link).

    FrontwRed_n_Yellow.jpg

    Red Grill Letters.jpg

Submarine Warfare Insignia "Dolphins" on the back window and a fun "BLACK BETTY" emblem (lower left). My nickname for the 4Runner... considering a "BAMALAM" personalized plate to go with it. HA!

It’s amazing how most dealerships don’t give a shit about the paint on a brand new $50,000 vehicle. Even if it is an off-roader. Fucking ridiculous

That’s worse than my 7 year old black Infiniti that I traded in. And it had been abused by too many idiots before I bought it. I refused to let them wash it at the dealership. It already looked like a spiral galaxy. I don’t have a buffer, so I put tons of hours making it look good again.

The tabs get cut off before you finish. They’re just for handling until you get it into place. Razor knife works well

never been a stickler for perfection on paint before, so I'm quite uninformed on how to make that happen. Is it feasible to reverse swirls? How did you do it?

pay your local Mobile detailer to come do it or spend the money on a random orbital polisher.

biggest thing is to avoid it after correction by not using automated car washes and using a good mitt to wash in a back and forth motion rather than circular

I may need to pay a pro for this one. I have the polisher, but completely out touch with the right products. I've always just bought cars, washed them and watch the branches and rocks scratch he heck out of them.

Trail whiskers are one thing. Endless swirls everywhere made by idiots are another.

Hand washing is easy, just use the 2 bucket method and apply a synthetic wax afterwards.

I picked up my black pro up from a dealer and it had apparently sustained some paint chips on the front of the hood. They had touched them up with touch up paint and put a clear bra on top. Wasn’t thrilled as I was a stickler about paint at the time but didn’t make a stink about it. Within a few months I hit the hood where the bra was applied with a roofing ladder. It cut through the plastic and barely touched the paint. Had it not been on there, I’d of had a massive cut in the paint. It was the car gods repaying me! I’m not a paint perfectionist any more after wheelin this truck a lot. My bumpers are scraped to hell and my pro wheels now have a “chrome lip” from all the rock scraping :)

Mine has the protective film on the hood. Once it yellows I’ll take it off. But I only have 2 chips on the bumper, so I’m cool with that. All my other previous cars have chipped easily. Not sure if this is just an anomaly or not. I think I’ve read the super white is only a 2 layer paint.

It was annoying to remove the clear bra with a heat gun. If you have residue leftover, definitely buy Rapid Remover. It’s a lifesaver. Sucks buying a brand new car off the showroom floor with 2 miles on it with paint damage already.
