Looking for folks to chime in with their experience on coils spring brands. Specifically rear springs.

I have never been all that impressed with OME quality but that’s just me. I know tons of folks think very highly of them.

I’m considering Elka shocks which is why I’m looking at rear coil options. I might just go with a full kit option from another manufacturer though. So many options it gets hard to chose.

I’m looking at my options and I’m curious as to peoples experience with Bilstein and Eibach. I currently don’t plan on much for a constant load on my GX, but I’m considering adding airbags for the times that it will get loaded up.

    Open to all suggestions.

The full foam cell pro set up is on my list of options. I need to find some local to take me for a spin.

I can not say enough great things about the Foam Cell Pro kit I installed on mine!! I had Eibach on my sons Tacoma and I ordered an Ironman foam cell pro kit on it after installing mine. Night and day difference

    That’s a pretty good review.

I’ve got OME’s on Bilstein Shocks on mine and the ride has been great. I never have had any of the others so there’s my 2 cents which basically provides no help.

    I love the OEM XREAS.

I know that’s no help whatsoever. Just couldn’t resist. :D :crapstorm:

If you want a comparison between a 250lb rear coil from Bilstien and a 250lb rear coil from Eibach, I don't think anyone could give you a reliable comparison on ride quality. People are more likely giving you their opinions on how they feel about the valving of their shocks.

Go with a reputable brand that is known for making a quality product and get whatever coil fits the bill for the weight you will be carrying constantly and the height you want.

I guess I’m more interested in quality. I probably need to clarify I guess. Almost every spring I’ve gotten from OME sagged with in a year. The only one that didn’t was the springs on the BP-51’s but everything else about those was a problem.

    Gotcha. That makes sense.

Eibach has a good reputation for coils staying true to height from the beginning and not sagging over time, but I don't have personal experience with them on the rear end.

Have you considered the Eibach load leveling rear system where you can adjust the height and dial it in for your needs? Not sure if this fits a GX though.

I did even know that existed! Thanks I’ll have to check that out. It’s like pretty much anything 5th gen T4R with KDSS fits a GX.
