I have been looking for a headlight black-out kit but the ones I see in Amazon have bad reviews. Does anyone recommend a good black-out kit for the front/hack?

No clue but I’ve heard that some black out kits are not street legal. But these days it doesn’t seem to matter. I’m seeing more and more oncoming vehicles with headlights that are wayyyy to bright. That’s another topic.

Ever thought about pulling them apart and painting the housing? May give you the look you want.

would be even better if you had a 2022 so the high beams and low beams are integrated and you don’t have to worry about the running light/ high beam bowl being functional.

If you want to see at night, I would recommend you not doing it.

OP, Do you mean blacking out the chrome inside the housing? I am interested in that as well. I agree with above, if doing entire light, vision at night will be compromised.

I left my lights functional. The high beams were left chrome. You can get a more blacked out look by painting the high beam housing as well (I wouldn’t suggest it if it’s not a 22 with the integrated high beam), but that’s me.

Da po po can’t really ticket you if the housing is painted :notsure::notsure::notsure: No tint. Just sayin’

that looks really great, and still legal!
That’s exactly what I would like
Yeah I don’t think it’s legal to have the whole lens tinted. Not in CA at least.

    was that a difficult process?

It’s actually really easy. It’s more intimidating than anything. Because it’s chrome, first couple coats need to just be misted on.

Big screw driver and an oven is all I used. I got some clear silicon to add to the lights just in case. Just put it on the seams after I was finished.

I did it to my FRS as well. Makes a huge difference in appearance

I ended up actually going through a guy online, Evil Headlights. He did a great job and I really love the way they look. He also put in the Morimoto LED projectors so it was an actual upgrade as well. You can kinda see them in my avatar. Now it definitely would be 1000% cheaper to do it yourself, I spent like 3 weeks debating between diy or buy. No regrets though.

If I remember right, it totaled right around 1100. It was 350 for the new assemblies, 450 for the projectors and the rest was labor and paint. You can definitely get it a little cheaper if you send yours in but then you don't have headlights for a couple of weeks haha but they've been great so far and I haven't noticed any problems at all as of yet. I can strongly recommend.
