Last week we had a 10" snowfall here. But in the last three days or so the temperature has climbed to 50F or near, with lots of sunshine. So, the big "melt-down" started, with lots of washer fluid being used.
I'm still using the original washer fluid that came with the 21' 4R. And that fluid works very well. Seems to have a slight "sudsy" component to it. Appears to work better than the typical washer fluid you buy at Auto-Zone and the like (?)
So my question is: Does anyone know if the Toyota washer fluid that you would get from the dealer is the same/similar to what originally came with the vehicle ?
    Thanks for any help.

Most dealers by their washer fluid as a concentrate and then water that shit down as much as they can without having your washer bottle freeze.

Toyota does, indeed, make Toyota brand washer fluid concentrate. Whether or not that’s what your dealer uses is a completely different story.

I know my girlfriend who is Canadian and has a Corolla had a special windshield solvent. It’s pink in color and rated to some crazy cold temperature.

It worked extremely well and her manual suggested it so I bought more from dealership over in Ontario.

I have not checked my 4R manual yet. I would follow whatever it suggests. Has not been an issue since I don’t use it lately

    That’s because it’s the stuff that’s rated to -40°C/F.

You can get that anywhere it’s cold.

Yeah that sounds about right minus 40. She was really nervous about me using a non Toyota product in her new car so I just bought when we went to see her family.

Some things are not worth debating and she can have any kind of washer fluid she wants .

A sudsy washer fluid is interesting, not sure if it protects the glass from wear more than regular washer fluid. Most people are unaware wipers "cut" into your glass just like brakes on a caliper.

I'm in FL and use the orange Rain X which is used for low temperatures. I feel it does a very good job at washing, it seems thicker to me than the cheap stuff.

This is truly inspiring. I can envision myself burning some of this firewood and just relaxing in a zen zone while dismissing 7.5 percent inflation, excessive gas prices and Covid all while drinking many Labatt Blue or Molson Canadians . Hopefully they can ship this soon. Funny post Mcspazatron

Jeez. I use the stuff Prestone makes in the winter, works for me. It's available most everywhere.

LOL !!! Well, yes. My question was a bit like the mountain and mole hill. LOL Actually, I enjoyed ALL the responses. A lot of guys on this Forum have a great sense of humor. And that, to me, just adds to the enjoyment.
The Rain-X seems to be popular with a lot of guys. But just for grins, I will buy the Toyota concentrate and mix it with some distilled water and give it a try. Thanks again everyone.

I like it when the guy says I am an apprentice here for Jesse; oh my gosh; what a good funny video. I am sure the guys paying $20k over sticker would gladly pay for some "premium firewood" why not if you have money to burn and it was available.
