Quirky differences between 4Runner and Tacoma

I thought the brakes were fine in my Tacoma.

 

I am a member there as well. I have no issue with the drums.

I just figured it was possible that the E-brake was part of their reasoning due to the manual transmission option.

I know I wouldn't trust the E-brake on the 4Runner. I've driven off with it set and hardly noticed.

 

I have no issues with having rear drums on my Tacoma but the 4Runner has some really good brakes.

 

oh me too!! I literally had zero complaints. I like how the 4Runner feels more, but stopping?? I didn’t notice a difference.

 

Also on the TRD Pro front, the same wheel package looks so much better on the 4Runner due the rubber looking slightly more aggressive.

The tires on the Taco look like they could be on any truck anywhere, don't look AT at all.

 

I have Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my Tacoma so they look pretty good. Should have came that way from the factory.

 

I recently picked up a 22 Tacoma as well. LED headlights and fogs are fantastic, better sound system. I like the seating position better in the 4Runner as well as the 4.0L vs the 3.5L. The Tacoma really seeks the highest gear possible when driving. All in all, a great little truck.

 

Should have done this.

 

I like the capless ones even better, like my current Ford.

I hear ya but I love my Taurus. If a sedan still fit my needs I'd happily keep it.
