So I am guessing some regions would frown on the Cheech And Chong Love Machine?

I don't think anyone or any nation would frown on that bad boy.

I'll just call a spade a spade the Lexus is a Karen soccermommobile. It wouldn't be caught dead in rock trails or mud and sand. It's just not for any serious off road use. Maybe you don't need that then get the Lexus and forget the 4runner

Man what circles do you run in? On my kids soccer team, there are 3 big Karen's of the bunch. 2 drive loaded Honda Odessys and the other drives a TRD Pro that has never seen the dirt. The only person I've ever known to drive a 460 is a cardiothoracic surgeon that reconfigured it to do some pretty good offroad work. Honestly one of the reasons it came to mind.

The offroad stuff is great, but it's not as important as a bullet proof engine and build quality that can hold up well in countries where a quality mechanic is hard to come by.

20220117_151418.jpg I think my GX will do just fine out in the dirt.

Both cars are good capable cars. One thing to consider is repairs. Toyota parts for the 4Runner are likely more accessible and affordable where you are going as compared to the Lexus. Not sure how many of the parts between the two are interchangeable.
