2021 TRD Pro Exhaust Swap

Hey 4Runners,
First post here, I'm a Tacoma guy, and my Wife has a 2021 TRD Pro, and she is not a fan of the exhaust.

Has anybody here done a direct swap for a non- Pro model?

Does it involve anything other than the cat back?

Any gaskets needed, clamps, etc???

It’s a straight swap. Although I did have to replace the cat gasket that came with my Pro exhaust. I went from regular to Pro and the gasket that came with the Pro wasn’t as sturdy as the one that came off and wore out quickly.

post in the market place for a swap you will get tons of interest and you will make some cash as well good luck

 

I would believe someone would swap with you and help each other for the installation.

I know I would swap for a pro exhaust.

 

While we are on the topic, are there other exhaust options besides the stock and trd that might be a nice in between the quiet and the drone of the trd?

 

lol I could have almost pictured myself posting the exact same thing whenever our '21 TRD ORP arrives. It was optioned with the black trd pro exhaust so it should be interesting for us as well.

 

Just picked my 21 up today. After 24 total miles on it, I'd gladly swap or sell the exhaust. Not a fan of the drone on the highway.

 

Note your location and maybe you'll get a swap! I would do it!

I swapped my TRD Pro exhaust for the stock exhaust as well. The parts guy at my dealership said "Uhh.. we've never had someone swap the TRD exhaust for a stock...usually the other way around!" He gave me all new hardware and a new gasket as well. I'll probably sell the TRD exhaust if anyone wants it (located in NJ).

I called my local dealership to get a price on putting a stock exhaust on my Pro. He said he would need to do 2 hours of diagnostics to find out all that is needed. And that it wasn’t a straight swap. Does that sound right? What did you guys pay for parts and labor?

 

Find another dealer. That doesn't sound right.
