    The newer part numbers should work on earlier 5th gen 4runners. I have done a little research and ran into this little bit here from an ebay posting
    For the newer part number:
    "Product:     New OEM Toyota 4Runner 2nd Generation TRD Pro Black Out Grille Upgrade 2 PIECE SET (Kit to accommodate Center TSS Sensor Cover)
    Part Number:     PZ323-35058 (Center Garnish Toyota Lettering),PZ327-35056(Upper Mesh Grille)"

    For the older part number
    Part Number: PZ323-35056 (Center Garnish Toyota Lettering),PZ327-35053(Upper Mesh Grille)

    Make/Model:     2014-2019 Toyota 4Runner SR5 & Trail team Models Only

    Only thing that throws me off is in the new part number posting it says (Kit to accommodate Center TSS Sensor Cover)

    Can anyone say that the newer trd pro grill fits on the older 5th gen's?

    It will. The newer TSS compatible pieces have a notched out part on the bottom for the sensor. If you dont have TSS on your ride, the notch is irrelevant. It will only be visable if you were to look at an upward angle at the front end. Or if your ride decided to drive on its roof...

    The newer heritage grill parts for the 2020 and up are actually a lot cheaper than the 2015-2019

    newer heritage grill comes out to around 455 with shipping from mcgregor toyota online parts department. The older part numbers for the heritage grill came out to 585$ with shipping from mcgregor toyota online parts department. I went on ebay and compared there as well. By far the newer parts are the better deal

    Or you can save $3-400 and get an aftermarket one... Tons of them out there for way less money and look just as good.
    But if you want to it to say "Genuine Toyota Part," by all means. Its your money, spend like you want too...

    Yea there are quite a few other aftermarket options. I just cant stand see the tiny gaps on both sides of the blacked out Toyota grill part. looks find on 4runners that are black or grey. Stands out to much though with my white 4runner
