(Apologies in advance if this is a dumb question. Just thinking out loud.)

I wonder if anyone had thought of having few switches on this area. I'm thinking of front locker and air compressor switches so I would not accidentally hit them and even if I accidentally turn them on I would probably notice? (May be?) And definitely remember to turn them off when I turn off rear locker.

I don't think you could fit much up there. Space behind might not have any room.

What area are you referring to?
    Finger pointing or red circled?

If red circled area, it is curved. Only very tiny bat handled switches would fit, maybe.

(And what’s up with that sticker? Take that damn thing off! ;))

Sorry, please ignore the finger. Took it from youtube. Thinking of red circled area.

That sticker contain something about wifi thing. I have used that sticker to write my gmrs radio call id :D

I was thinking may be a tiny version of this style of switch with 3M tape on back?

I was only thinking of front diff lock and compressor (away from auxlight switches). Especially front diff lock where it never turn on by accident and have catastrophe. I could even move my fulltime 12v power switch as well since it is not touched frequently (but its a physical switch not a relay cut of on).

A single row panel would be awesome I guess.

Right? May be even have a system you can still close it? Open for secret switches would be fancy..

I actually keep my compass in the overhead compartment. I’m not really an adventurist, but I’ve always had one with me.

I just got one of those (dual) switches. If you have not already used the little cubby area below the AC controls consider mounting the switch assy there - that's where mine's going..

I'm trying to keep away from the common touch areas. Why I thought I might look for options up there.

Just below A/C controls I have scanguage and front camera display. But they are not permanent mount, they are only fixed with 3M tape just the reason will allow me to switch places if I decide to.

I use the heck out of 3m sticky-back tape. Years ago I mounted cb radios with that stuff just to keep from drilling holes!
The scangauge looks good down there! It’s a shame there is such little space in the 4runner for techy stuff - one really has to be creative.
