How do you know when it hits port? I just know mine will be here in 23 days....I'm still trying to figure out how to track it.

You have to ask your dealer for updates. Some are better than others.

So I did some studying and what I noticed was the date on the sticker on the dealership website is the day it should have hit port. My dealer said mine hit the 28th of December and the date on the sticker matched the same date. I am pretty sure my 4runner was on London Highway.

Yeah definitely keep looking around. I put a deposit at a local dealership, but kept looking at other dealers in my region and ended up finding exactly what I wanted at a dealership the next state over. Drove 2 hrs to pick it up and another 2 home, but it was totally worth it. No market adjustment or anything! PXL_20220125_215505270.jpg

Me and my buddy got our TRD Pro LR within a month of each other. MSRP at Alexandria Toyota. No stress, kept us in the loop of delivery. There are good dealers still out there

Called Erin this morning. All are sold, but I am now #2 on the wait list for a lime Pro at MSRP. Add another dealer to the good list (which I believe is smaller than the wall of shame list…)

Thank you for the tip on this dealer. I had been quoted a 3 YEAR wait list time locally (told them 4Runners would be electric by then…) and depression was setting in. I may see one by March now.

This is a great forum with good peeps!

A 3-year wait is absurd. They are just pocketing money at that point.

Been looking for ORP with KDSS and MTM for a while now too. SE Toyota won't apparently equip them that way so I have been looking all over. Not very scientific, but it seems in my digging that the Los Angeles and Mid-Atlantic sales regions have a few more KDSS than most areas. Fingers crossed & Good luck!

Congrats on the new ride! Still impatiently waiting for an allocation myself. From what I have gathered, different regions have different port options, most of the wheel packages seem to be just wheel swap without the Nittos, but a few areas have options for either just upgrading just the wheels, just the street tires, or for getting both TRD wheels and the more aggressive tires. Jealous in Georgia... :)

Thanks, really liking it so far. That's interesting about the tires, I guess I was under the impression that the package always included the Nitto tires. In any case, I reached out to the dealership last week and told them I felt that I overpaid since I paid for the package and really just got the wheels, so they said they would go 1/2 on a set of tires of my choice.

This all has me curious about the price difference between the gunmetal gray, bronze, and black wheels then. Looks like there is a pretty huge difference between the three and the black ones are the only ones with "package" in the name. Is it really just the black chrome lugs contributing to the large jump in price or is there something inherently different between the wheels, other than the color? Is it simply supply and demand?

I asked to be on a waitlist for a 2022 TRD Pro on 1/8, got a call on 1/25 saying they received an allocation for a 4runner TRD Pro and asked if I wanted it, I put down a deposit and got a signed sheet with the VIN and was told it should arrive at the dealer end of Feb/early May, so all said and done - about 2 months.

I was told early-mid February for my Pro. But I haven't been told that it hit freight status yet. But my app shows 1 mile now, as of late last week, and I think I've heard of that happening when it hits freight. So I don't even know.

Yes paid exactly msrp from Toyota of Mankato in Mn. I had to sacrifice kdss because that would have been a super long wait. It’s about 80 miles from me, so I basically put 80 miles on it just driving home to Minneapolis.

I'd give my left arm to only have to drive 80 miles for MSRP. Current plans have me purchasing from a (fantastic) dealer two states away, requiring a flight and ~900 miles of driving to get it home if I don't ship it.

Congrats though - those of us in the huge market adjustment areas are jealous of your situation!

That sucks? Most minnesota dealers are msrp(including Pros, if you can get in line), I guess we are lucky here.

Midwesterners are lucky. I did learn of a dealer in Colorado I maybe could have given my business to at MSRP, but I was so frustrated with every dealer I talked to locally that I opted to reach out to a salesman I worked with at the dealership I worked at in college. Ended up being a 1,000 drive back home from WI, but I got exactly what I wanted with no markups after a 4 month wait.

I still can’t believe how much Lunar Rock changes color depending on lighting. Sometimes it looks gray and sometimes very green.

I saw on 1/18 that a Lime Rush TRD Pro had popped up on a local dealership's site, but, figured it was spoken for. However, once my plans to order a '22 ORP fell through I inquired about the Pro and found out it was the only 4Runner in their allocations that hadn't been spoken for. They also let me know up front that there was a markup of $5k.

So, we mulled it over, and on the 20th called them back to see if it was still up for grabs, and it was! They gave me an offer for my SR5P and I got my name on the Pro. It arrived on 1/25 and I picked it up on the 26th!

Did you wrap the valance or did you buy the oem black ones? That looks good, I’m thinking of doing that too.
