Wish I would’ve see this earlier. I’m in Kentucky but willing to drive a ways for a sliding cargo tray. I have a 2021 landing in a couple weeks and the cargo tray wasn’t available. Still looking for one!

New to the forum, I am looking for a rear sliding platform for a 2019 4Runner (moms). I know it will help her with loading and unloading. After reading all of these I would be very interested in anyone looking to sell theirs in the Lake Havasu City area perhaps Las Vegas and or Phoenix. Thank you in advance. Lyzardskynyrd, is yours still available? I’ll buy it off you. Otherwise, I’m also interested in buying or swapping for a sliding cargo tray. I’m located in Austin, TX.

Years ago I bought a used sliding cargo deck from a member that was shipped to me from CA to MO. Installation was crazy easy. I think I had to drill two mounting holes and female fasteners/nuts were exposed. I just laid the deck in place to see where I had to drill the two holes. It is very useful especially camping. One of the most used option on my Trail Premium. Blows my mind that this isn’t a dealer installed option at the least. A bunch of us priced out all the required parts. That was a deal killer. Needs to be a kit.
I even sent emails to Toyota asking to sell me sliding kit or let a dealer install but Toyota wouldn’t.

somewhere deep on the web i found a listing from a dealer up here in Canada that had a partial sliding cargo tray parts breakdown - i stopped in and spoke at length with the parts manager about it. when he priced most of it out it came to roughly $5300cnd ($4000usd +/-)
a long time ago on the forums i saw that a parts guy in the us had added all the items up to roughly $2500usd - which is still just insane -
i would like to camp inside my 4r but after some spinal surgeries i need that rear area flat - and then the added benefit of the slide out when loading/unloading makes great sense to me.

i am willing to pay good money for one - but i find it asinine that Toyota has sold these since (i think) 2014 in the states (this has never been an available option from Toyota Canada, only a USA option- from what I've been told)
if Toyota can add it onto a build for $350usd - and since they already got my money for a trd pro, why the heck can't the parts department be authorized to sell a full set up for $1000 + shipping? isn't that just good business? haha

That’s crazy expensive. That’s why a lot of people just make a leveling platform out of 2x4s and 1/2 inch plywood for sleeping.
