First of all, yes I’ve tried replacing the bulb. We’ll get that out first.

About 2 years ago I bought a cheaper LED set of lights for the interior which came with backup lights as well. Both backup lights worked like a charm until recently when I noticed the driver side not coming on while passenger side did. I figured the cheaper light had burned out/stopped working, so I ordered some nicer ones.

Skip to today, the driver side is still not turning on, despite trying both new bulbs. Passenger still works fine.

Wanted to check with this group first to see if anyone else has had this happen and the resolution before I take it to the dealer and pay them their diagnostic fee plus whatever repair costs are.

    Any thoughts?

Weird. I think the fuse controls a lot more so you’d probably know if it was that. How are the contacts for the bulb slot?

If you have a test lamp or meter check to see if there is even voltage getting back there.

Haven't heard of such an issue personally. Might try just a halogen bulb to see if that works, just for kicks? Otherwise, any mechanic shop will be able to test the circuitry to see if you are getting power to the bulb, that would be a cheaper start than the dealer if you are not determined to take it to the dealer first. Good luck!

I have a friend who might have one. I’ll check that out.
