I have the LFD crossbars but haven't pulled the trigger on the ladder yet. Leaning toward the C4 though. If I can answer any questions about the LFD crossbars let me know. I recall there's also another thread you should consider searching for as well. Good luck.

I got the ladder so I can mount a Rotopax. Also plan to mount a trasharoo.

DRobs, awesome!! That’s exact setup I’ve been looking for. Cool setup man. Who is the manufacturer of the ladder? Thanks for sharing the picture

How was the install? Looks pretty simple on the web page. I was a little concerned that it mounts too close to the hatch so my toes might rub.

How was the lead time? I know some of those ladders take forever to get

Pretty easy install. Not sure that I'll ever actually climb on it. I really just wanted it to mount spare fuel. Pretty much all of these ladders are close to the hatch.

I've been on a number of trail rides recently and am finding all sorts of reasons to have a Trasharoo. Most in our group will pick up trash found on the trail. I'd rather have trash on the outside of the vehicle than inside. Also it's very handy for transporting firewood.

I ordered it middle of July of 2020 and received it middle of August 2020. About 4 weeks to my house in Missouri. 1 week of that was shipping. I did send them an email asking for an update on week 3. They responded quickly and shipped my ladder soon after.

I should add, I have used the ladder to wipe the rear of the roof after car washes. I'm 6'4 225 and while the ladder has no problem holding my weight I worry about the hatch.

Regarding the LFD crossbars, I'm real close to pulling the trigger on their 7/8's side rails. I'm slowly working my way to a Roof Top Tent. I find I enjoy off-roading more than Overlanding (camping) and worry about a RTT getting torn up where I off road.

Did you paint the roof rail or powder coat?

hi, sorry for bringing up an old thread. What size rotopax is this and did you replace the hatch struts with heavier duty ones after adding the greenlane ladder and rotopax? Trying to figure out what size rotopax to get for my greenlane ladder and what hatch struts I’ll need. Thanks!

I have a set of these struts sitting out in the garage uninstalled since April.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XPPYGQ7/

    Getting around to installing them...

I rarely put the 3 gallon rotopax up there. When I did, I noticed a lot of vibration to it.
    https://rotopax.com/3-gallon-gasoline-new.html?category_id=28

Here is the mount for the ladder:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NCXKUO7/

    And Rotopax mount:
    https://rotopax.com/pack-mount.html

I've brought the empty Rotopax can with me on a few trips. Have yet to fill it. My OEM struts handle the weight of the ladder w/o the can just fine.

One time I drove into town to see how it works, I had an old timer stop me at the post office and say...
"A friend of mine had a gas can on the back of his Jeep. He got rear ended by another vehicle and died a fiery death."

I was like "ah I'm sorry for your loss - my gas can is empty."

As do I. The ladder is great but I'm not so enthusiastic about the LFD Crossbars. It is difficult to mount things (especially cargo boxes) to them. Or perhaps I'm just the dumbest kid in school.

I know what you mean. It's one thing to have a good roof rack. It's another to figure out what components you need to mount anything on it.

The owner of LFD posted in another forum that he uses Front Runner mounting points on his Crossbars.
    https://www.frontrunneroutfitters.com/en/us/storage-systems/lashing-and-securing.html

Plus (I think) these to mount boxes:
    https://www.frontrunneroutfitters.com/en/us/front-runner-tent-mount-kit.html

I mounted Maxtrax pins on my LFD crossbars and then realized that they probably eliminate going through automatic car washes. I guess I ought to get an awning next.

I like it. I think ladder is handy for a Trasharoo style backpack trash container. I put a backpack on mine and have a trash bag in it. It's handy for trash found on the trail + beer cans, etc. Plus works well for firewood and muddy recovery ropes.

Also gives my Jeep owning friends something to laugh about:
