What Oil and Filter are you using on your 5th Gen ?

I bought 5 oil filters in july 2016 ...the filters on the media filter had no printing on it . in october I purchased the oil filter and then the oil filter media had your same printing on it yzza2 .. the new box print is yzza5 is the same part number on my other filters ...
so I took out my old filter and the filter is the same ...probably toyota changed the part number ........probably toyota change the filter media of a synthetic media..
I use GM vehicles and I use wix/pure one filters oil and they filters are synthetic filter media ..the old oil filters breakdown probably paper filters ..

 

There have been counterfeit oil filters sold, especially by online vendors. The Car Care Nut did a video about this topic. At 14:40 he covers the oil filters.

I can tell you this system saves the Chrysler 3.6 engines . I wonder the clearance issues tho in our runners . The Chryslers filters mount on top like the older 4.0 toyota

 

They are diffrent seals and kits in each box the filter element may be the same

 

Enlighten me on this install. Clean setup.

 

Yes plus 1 here . I kno they sell the direct kit but I like how this comes up to the top .

Install took me a full day, merely because I was being fussier than necessary. Honestly not complicated to do at all. But, pricey....
